Advocating for African American women and women of color affected by endometriosis.

About us

Endo Black, Inc. is a Black-women-led nonprofit organization advocating for and educating Black women living with and impacted by endometriosis. Our philosophy is to engage, educate, and encourage endo sisters. Currently, there's a complete lack of awareness surrounding AA women and WOC affected by endometriosis. AA women are 50% less likely to be diagnosed with endometriosis. According to the Black Women’s Health Imperative, this is due to providers thinking pain is caused by something else and not having access to proper health care and resources to get help. AA women are constantly misdiagnosed, and there's a lack of resources and research for AA women. And lastly, racial injustice and health equity within the medical community. EB, Inc. provides a solution to the community through creating: 1. a safe atmosphere of support because no one should feel alone. 2. endo-sisterly love, genuine bonds, and friendships. 3. opportunities for education on women’s reproductive health in the community. 4. a dialogue around what policies, laws, and regulations must be changed to meet the needs of women affected by endometriosis. What we do: - Host support groups and private group sessions - Have events such as Mocktails & Cocktails where we discuss intimate topics and how it correlated with endo - Host conferences and meet and greets for community members - Implementation of Community Outreach Programs such as Period Care Initiative - Host programs to discuss racial injustice and health equity and more. Are you interested in hosting your fundraiser event or donating? Or sponsorship and collaboration, you may contact us at info@endoblack.org. If you're looking for a representative to speak to your company organization about Endo Black, Inc., how to support your employees, how to become an Ally, or more, email the founder at Lauren.Kornegay@endoblack.org.
