    Happy customer!!! Sol-Ark REC EndurEnergy Systems, Inc. Tigo Energy EMP Sol-Ark 15kW with 30kWh Endur Energy batteries. We added REC 360W NPeak-2 modules to the existing Mission 310W to double the PV. We also added a 20kW Cummins generator to the inverters. Swapped out the two grid-tie 10kW inverters for this system mounted on diamond plate. It turned out very good.

  • The History of Solar Energy in the USA Once upon a time, before bustling cities & towering skyscrapers, pioneers looked to the sky for power. In 1839, a 19-year-old Edmond Becquerel created the world's first photovoltaic cell, observing the photovoltaic effect via an electrode in a conductive solution exposed to light. By 1873, Willoughby Smith found selenium shows photoconductivity, daring to harness the sun's energy. Edward Weston, in 1888, received patents for solar cells, marking the beginning of a solar revolution in California. By the 20th, people began to trade wood for the warmth of the sun. Solar energy spread across the nation, solar water heaters becoming common from the 1900s - 1950s. Tech advancements made them practical & cost-effective, aligning with the times' growing awareness of energy conservation. States like Florida & Texas eagerly adopted, putting their faith in solar energy. Rise of cheap natural gas & nuclear energy in the 1950s threatened Solar's growth. The first commercial nuclear power plant began operation in Idaho, 1951, marking the nuclear era. Shale oil production also gained attention, although it didn't achieve widespread commercial success until much later. The 1960s and 1970s proved pivotal for solar technology amid the space race & an energy crisis. Political tensions & oil embargoes spiked prices; caused fuel shortages, increasing the focus on alternative energy sources. Growing environmental awareness led to a push for cleaner energy, with the U.S. government funding solar research, setting the stage for a solar revolution. The 1980s & 1990s saw the rise of photovoltaic power. Government incentives, innovative financing mechanisms, technological advancements made solar panels more accessible and affordable. This period marked significant growth in the solar sector, with job creation and increased installations. As the new millennium unfolded, solar energy soared to new heights. From the 2000s to the 2010s, installations grew swiftly, driven by plummeting prices & technological advancements. Economies of scale, reduced material costs, government policies made solar power increasingly competitive with conventional sources. The 2020s saw solar energy become a poster boy for the climate change movement. Environmental benefits, cost-competitiveness, potential for energy independence resonated with policymakers & the public. Innovations in efficiency, storage capabilities, grid integration further enhanced solar's appeal. Lithium iron batteries, like those used by EndurEnergy, allowed solar energy to be stored & used reliably, even during periods of low sunlight.
