Join EBA's In-House Counsel Coalition and the Energy Professionals Council for their upcoming virtual energizer on Friday, November 8. We’re diving into the fascinating world of AI and its growing role in natural gas pipelines and electric utilities. AI isn’t just causing a big, unexpected spike in the use of natural gas and electricity; it’s also changing the way pipelines and power lines operate and how we, as customers, interact with them. This rapid evolution brings up a lot of questions, like how we should build new assets, how scheduling needs to change, and the ethical issues around using AI. Read a newly-published article from Young Lawyers Council author Jean-Luc Kreitner, "Considerations When Evaluating a Request for a Track I, Track II, or Track III Procedural Schedule." https://lnkd.in/dwcDYNw2 "Cases set for hearing before the Commission vary in size, scope, and complexity. Consequently, the Commission offers three distinct procedural tracks that are designed to accommodate the differing needs or circumstances of various cases. Understanding the nuances of these tracks—aptly named Track I, Track II, and Track III—is crucial for the participants involved in proceedings before the Commission."

Check out the latest EBA Authored Article, co-written by EBA FELJ Vice President David Martin Connelly and Gary E. Guy (Guy Gary). In this interview, The Honorable Willie Phillips, Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, discusses his varying roles in the legal profession and energy regulatory field, how energy law suited his skillset, and different experiences between being a state regulator and federal regulator. 'As to FERC personnel, he had much praise. “We continue to be one of the best places to work in government. In the past two years, I have been Chairman, we’ve continued that tradition. I am very proud of that. I think the culture here is fantastic,” he told us, adding, “The staff is worldclass.”' https://lnkd.in/eB-tbvvd
