Engage Estero is an all-volunteer, nonprofit community engagement association that exists to inform our citizens about significant community issues and encourage civic engagement. In fact, we are one of the only organized and experienced volunteer groups with 25 years of experience in Estero working to ensure a high quality of life in the community we love. After months of work to restore our access to flood insurance discounts, the Village has announced that the rest is up to residents. It is extremely important for anyone that has had any damage or repair work performed as a result of Hurricane Ian must obtain permits for all work done. AFTER THE FACT, PERMITS CAN BE OBTAINED. If residents do not get permits for their repairs, the ENTIRE COMMUNITY will lose the discount. The last deadline is approaching quickly.
