About us
We are one of the fastest growing basketball brands for Gen Z. We grew tired of Skip Bayless hot-takes and sports media's criticisms of players & teams, and so, we flipped the script. We tell positive stories and produce uplifting content about the game of basketball.

After Netflix’s “Quarterback” garnered the success that it did, the streaming service is expanding the concept into a new sport—basketball. 🏀 Netflix just announced a new docuseries that will follow the lives of a handful of National Basketball Association (NBA) players, modeled after their series about National Football League (NFL) signal-callers like the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. We don’t know the name of the series just yet, but we do have the list of players that will be featured! 😯 - LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers - Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics - Jimmy Butler, Miami HEAT - Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves - Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings As for the series' production, Netflix is assembling a MONSTER team. LeBron James’ The SpringHill Company, former US President Barack Obama’s Higher Ground, and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions are teaming up to put the show together. 💪 As Netflix’s latest venture into the sports media business, this series and its success will surely serve as another barometer for the streaming service to test and see how well they do among pro sports fans. As for us, we’re just excited to see what Domantas Sabonis does all day! #basketball #sports #television #media #business #netflix

Revisiting some of the most “win-win” trades in recent NBA history… 🤔 2017: Oklahoma City Thunder receive Paul George, Indiana Pacers receive Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. At the time, it seemed like the Pacers got absolutely FLEECED in this deal that saw them send away a young PG13 for two unproven prospects. But Sabonis turned into one of the best passing and shooting big men in the league, and the Pacers eventually traded him for Tyrese Haliburton, who's currently in the process of solidifying Indiana’s future as an great team. Meanwhile, the Thunder made a few playoff runs before trading George to the Clippers… and getting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander back in return. It all works out in the end! 2018: Atlanta Hawks receive Trae Young, Dallas Mavericks receive Luka Doncic and 2018 FRP (Cam Reddish) No matter who you prefer between Luka and Trae, this trade gave both teams franchise cornerstones that have become synonymous with their organizations over the past five years. Reddish didn’t end up spending that much more time in Atlanta, as he was traded to New York in 2022 before bouncing to Portland and then Los Angeles. Nevertheless, Luka and Trae's rises to stardom make this trade a definite win-win. 2019: Los Angeles Lakers receive Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans receive Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball, and draft picks that turned into Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Didi Louzada, Herb Jones, Vince Williams Jr, and Dyson Daniels. The Lakers probably “won” this trade given their 2020 NBA Finals victory, but don’t sleep on the Pelicans’ return! BI's incredible efficiency is one of the reasons why the Pelicans currently sit at sixth in the Western Conference (three spots above the Lakers… 😯) and Jones and Daniels are solid contributors off the bench. Amazon is acquiring a minority stake in Diamond Sports Group, the company that operates the Bally Sports television network. Here’s what that means for the National Basketball Association (NBA): ⬇️ 👀 First, let’s take it all the way back to March 2023. Diamond, a subsidiary of the Sinclair Inc. conglomerate, filed bankruptcy after suffering due to the growing “cord-cutting” movement among sports fans. Since then, there had been rumors that the Diamond (and consequently, Bally Sports) would shut down entirely. At a recent hearing, an attorney of the company even suggested that they were prepared to cease operations by the end of 2024 if they weren’t able to strike a deal with another firm. 😳 But someone came along to help! Amazon’s deal is still subject to approval in court, but the Seattle, WA-based company is now set to partner with Diamond as part of a restructuring agreement that will allow the company to emerge from bankruptcy. 😁 Diamond owns 18 networks that operate under the “Bally Sports” name, which in total have the rights to half of the teams in the NBA (including some huge market teams like the Dallas Mavericks, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Miami Heat!). Fans of the teams previously serviced by Bally Sports will be able to stream games through Amazon Prime Video once the deal becomes official. 🏀 Did you enjoy this story and want to get more just like this delivered right to your inbox? Could the Detroit Pistons' record-breaking 28-game losing streak be the worst in modern American sports history? Let’s take a look 👀 The Philadelphia Phillies hold the longest losing streak in modern-era Major League Baseball (MLB) history, as they were losers of 23 straight games back in 1961. Even though the number of games is comparable, the MLB season was 154 games back then—that means the Phillies’ streak only represented 15% of the regular season compared to the Pistons’ 34%. 😬 What about hockey? The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres currently co-own the record for longest losing streak in National Hockey League (NHL) history, as the two clubs lost 18 straight games in 2003-04 and 2020-21, respectively. And in hockey’s 82-game schedule, that record doesn’t even come CLOSE to the feat that the Pistons performed. And then there’s football. Back in the 70s, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 26 straight games over the span of two seasons—they followed up a disastrous 0-14 season in 1976 with another 0-12 start the next year, after which they finally added something to the win column. 😲 So who wins? Is the Pistons streak the king of all modern sports streaks? Or does Tampa Bay’s multi-season skid take the cake? Guess you’ll have to decide… 🤔 Did you enjoy this story and want to get more just like this delivered right to your inbox?
