About us

We are a company of big dreams and humble beginnings. Started as a single car-hop style restaurant in Pittsburgh in 1949, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group has grown into a portfolio of regional foodservice concepts focused on personalized dining. Our brands include: - Eat’n Park Restaurants, a full-service family restaurant chain - Parkhurst Dining Services, a provider of catering and contract dining services to businesses, higher education institutions, and cultural centers - SmileyCookie.com, an online store offering fresh-baked, customized, hand-iced cookie gifts for delivery throughout the U.S. - The Porch, a neighborhood bistro featuring thoughtfully-crafted seasonal food made with fresh ingredients from our local partners and farms - Hello Bistro, a fast-casual restaurant where burgers and salads come together. There’s a common focus throughout every branch of our organization: PEOPLE. From the thousands of guests, clients, residents, and visitors that we serve every day in each of our locations, to the more than 9,000 team members who are at the heart of our company…we care about people. We’re committed to treating our guests and team members like friends, serving outstanding food and, above all, doing the right thing. We love what we do, and we love making people smile.

Thank you, TALI, for continuing to create meaningful development opportunities for folks at all levels - like emerging frontline leaders - who want to grow. Congratulations to all who participated in this inaugural workshop, including a group of our own fantastic team members!

On September 25th, TALI proudly offered its inaugural Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop to its sponsor organizations and their team leaders! During the day-long immersive workshop, top industry experts and accomplished Black professionals on a leadership panel covered topics on solving daily management and leadership challenges. To conclude the day, we hosted an evening reception and certificate ceremony! “We were pleased to add this new training opportunity to TALI’s leadership program portfolio,” says Evan Frazier. “Although our programs traditionally support the executive advancement of rising professionals to senior-level executives, our corporate partners asked us to apply our leadership training to support frontline leaders." We thank the Eat'n Park Hospitality Group and Giant Eagle, Inc. teams, instructors, panelists, TALI Alumni, and stakeholders who made this workshop successful. • Just call us party animals! On top of celebrating our company’s 75th anniversary this summer, we also had the privilege of celebrating three team members and their own milestone anniversary – 50 years at Eat’n Park Hospitality Group!    We are honored to be part of each of our team members’ journeys no matter the length of time that they’re with us – and wow, a combined 150 years is a real gift! Thank you for making us stronger, Debra, Jim, and Marylou!

  • Our Day of Smiles day of volunteering is awesome every year, but this year was extra special! As we celebrate our 75 years in business, we reflect on the community that supported us along the way and the relationships that make us stronger together.     In celebration of two of these longstanding partnerships and their incredible work in service of our neighbors, our team member volunteers were honored to present $75,000 gifts to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.    We are extremely grateful to have both of these organizations in our hometown of Pittsburgh where so many of our team members and guests live and work. For decades, we’ve been proud to support their exceptional work of taking care of our most vulnerable neighbors.

  • When we say “volunteer opportunity,” our team members show up! Over 100 of them served at our annual Day of Smiles volunteer day in Pittsburgh – a true embodiment of our nearly 10,000 team members and their spirit of hospitality in action every day.     On Day of Smiles, we were honored to roll up our sleeves for a few hours and support the good work being done at the Education Partnership, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Rainbow Kitchen Community Svc, Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Shepherd Wellness Community, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Literacy Pittsburgh.    Every day, we feel proud to live and work in the communities where impactful work is being done by these incredible partners.

  • The occasion: Our annual team member picnic at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, PA.    The mission: Create as many smiles for our team members as they create for our guests and clients!    Mission accomplished! The fun was on loop, the smiles were endless, and the day was jam-packed with free fun, prizes, and souvenirs – all tokens of a day well spent together.

  • True hospitality is taking care of others. We loved getting to combine our passion for food and our compassion for people at this event to benefit a cause that our team members fundraise for year-round!

We love creating opportunities to bring people together for a great cause, especially with great food! Our talented Parkhurst chefs recently hosted our second annual Caring for Kids Family Meal, benefiting children’s hospitals across our region. Our Parkhurst and Restaurant Division chefs joined forces, showcasing our passion for food, chef-driven culture, and creative spirit.

  • June 5 has officially been declared “Eat’n Park Day” in the City of Pittsburgh! We'll give a milkshake cheers to that. Thank you to our team members, guests, clients, and community for an amazing 75 years. We can't wait for all of the smiles that lie ahead. Our future is bright, especially if you’re joining us!
