Our Chicago office had the privilege of joining DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity for a rewarding day of volunteering in our community. Our team rolled up their sleeves to plant trees and work on yard beautification projects, all in support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build and improve homes and communities. Habitat for Humanity International's incredible work extends far beyond constructing houses; they’re dedicated to creating lasting, positive change by transforming neighborhoods and fostering a sense of home and belonging for families in need. Our very own Aiman Naguib will be presenting a case study on Deep Mix Method Columns for Storm Water Detention Pond Stability and Constructability through Soft Dredged Fil alongside Steven Lowe of Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers. ENTACT performed remediation activities to address tar-like material from historical MGP operations commingled with sediment at a historically significant Civil War Site along a navigable river. The team implemented a project plan that shortened the project by one year while strictly adhering to federal, state, and local permit requirements.     ENTACT assisted the Client’s archaeologist with historical Civil War artifact recovery for studying and displaying at a local museum.   ENTACT is proud to have been an integral part of protecting South Carolina’s environment and natural resources by removing over 2.5 tons of debris and 35,000 tons of tar-impacted sediment from a predominant waterway in the city’s downtown area.
