A data loss vector that has always existed with online meetings, but #GenAI assistants have supercharged it. You no longer have to listen through an entire meeting recording to get to the dirt - simply read the AI-generated meeting summary. Be careful what you say before/after a meeting with outside participants - the virtual walls have ears. https://wapo.st/3YcAko4 #cybersecurity #dlp

In ESG Practice Director Scott Sinclair's recent blog he weighs in on VMware Explore 2024 and the harsh truth delivered by Broadcom CEO Hock E. Tan during his keynote address: "You inherited legacy data centers, which has created best of breed in compute, in storage and in networking. You are very siloed; you are so screwed." 💡 Read here: https://bit.ly/4gi009Q

In his latest blog, ESG Practice Director Scott Sinclair discusses NetApp CEO George Kurian's keynote at the company's Insight 2024 conference. Speaking about the modern data challenges presented by AI, Kurian highlighted that in the not-too-distant future, when every organization has AI initiatives in place, competitive success will be won by organizations that have deeper domain expertise, a well-defined and executed data strategy, and an agile methodology to quickly translate their ever-evolving data into better AI offerings ⚡ In other words, as Scott points out, AI alone is not enough. We also must have the right technology, practices and data in place to ensure that, once your AI experience is in production, it continues to outperform the competition. In his latest blog, ESG Principal Analyst Simon Robinson explains why data management is increasingly recognized as the Achilles heel in delivering an enterprise AI strategy 🌐 According to Enterprise Strategy Group research, a lack of quality data is the number one challenge organizations are encountering while implementing AI, and data, or the lack thereof, is rapidly becoming a major roadblock to AI initiatives across the board. For this reason, he says, NetApp's recent focus on building an "intelligent data infrastructure" for the AI era is noteworthy. Read the full blog here: https://bit.ly/3NeHoKx

NetApp CEO George Kurian delivered a high energy and engaging keynote on Day 1 of #NetAppInsight, unveiling how NetApp is going to ‘bridge the chasm’ between siloed AI Systems and Data Management environments, similar to how it helped bridge the divide between cloud-based and on-prem data over the last decade. It’s a bold and compelling vision that promises to ‘bring AI to your data, wherever you need it’. Look forward to hearing more details around how it will deliver this strategy over the coming days.

Thanks to the Verizon Business team for a great update briefing last Friday. A key component of their evolving managed services portfolio is a new customer-facing service management platform built almost entirely on ServiceNow. While the advantages are many, two that stood out to me were (1) better support for API integrations with customer IT management systems, and (2) increased agility for adapting managed services to whatever collection of equipment, systems, and applications each customer may bring to the table, by virtue of the extensive ecosystem that already exists around ServiceNow. There is also a new AIOps Insights portal, accessible via the Verizon Enterprise Center customer portal and NaaS Management Center, that leverages an internally developed networking LLM to help monitor and manage each client's global Verizon network footprint. Good progress on two of the top priorities that Enterprise Strategy Group research has identified regarding enterprise networking needs: Integrated network management and NaaS solutions. #NaaS #networkmanagement #AIOps
