This past Friday, over 150 CEOs volunteered across Hillsborough County elementary schools for one day of change through #CEOsinSchools! This marks my fifth year participating and I had the immense pleasure of spending the day at Lutz Elementary School K-8 with Principal Joshua Phillips. Principal Phillips and his team are absolutely amazing. The school spirit is refreshingly positive. The administration and teachers shower their students with top level learning, love and patience in such a well organized environment. One of the highlights for me was reading "Smart Cookie" to all four of the kindergarten classes. I also spent time with their Student Counselor discussing how they recognize and work with depression, anxiety and bullying. I'm looking forward to returning this school year to visit with the Young Entrepreneurs class to have them "pitch" me on their business ideas. I am always amazed at the level of energy, dedication and compassion it takes to build and maintain a top rated school. I'm in awe of Principal Phillips, his entire administration and teachers. Truly magical evenings are rare and wonderful, but the Tampa Bay Business & Wealth Magazine 2024 Women Who Win award event was one of them. This iconic event set a new precedence for how to honor ALL hard working and dedicated women, by treating each and every finalist as a winner. So many of us work behind the scenes without recognition or praise. I'm grateful for heartfelt events like this that renew my faith in sharing love and honoring all Women Who Win.
