AI’s impact on asset management is top of mind in the industry—Envision is sponsoring two conferences this month alone that have sessions focused on how #ArtificialIntelligence will change the way managers approach their processes. This FundFire piece recaps AI commentary from the recent Future of Asset Management Conference. Panelists discussed the industry’s growing focus on AI, and cited data that showed “more than half of asset managers indicated that they are already using or are planning to use artificial intelligence tools within the next year.” Many managers are committed to improving predictive data analytics capabilities to identify distribution opportunities to advisors, but there are challenges. “They're struggling with putting together the vast amount of advisor information made available through wirehouse and broker-dealer data packs as well as third-party and internal sales and marketing data, panelists said.
