Our batteries are made with zinc-halide, and compared to incumbent technologies, are longer duration, virtually silent and non-flammable. Plus, a majority of our battery components are made within a four-hour drive of Pittsburgh, PA. For the first time ever, we’ve been recognized as a Tier 1 energy storage supplier by BloombergNEF!   We’re thrilled to be one of five U.S. companies recognized on this list, awarded to 39 manufacturers that meet a rigorous set of standards for product performance, bankability, and customer satisfaction. This distinction is validation of the work we’ve poured into ensuring our U.S-made energy storage systems are high-quality, reliable, and most importantly, safe for communities.   We know that BESS systems are critical to scaling the clean energy transition – but we also know communities are often wary of welcoming loud, fire-prone systems in their backyards. Our systems are different, featuring nonflammable, liquid zinc and bromide technology that does not require extensive first suppression systems. Because of this, our BESS product is virtually silent and barely registers above a normal conversation. It was a great discussion with CEO Joe Mastrangelo, Sr. Director of Advanced Manufacturing Chris Dellinger, SVP of R&D Francis Richey and SVP Systems Engineering Pranesh Rao about American manufacturing, and the role of battery storage in making America’s grid more resilient and enabling the clean energy transition. Eos is proud that our Z3™ storage system plays such a critical role to American energy independence. Our talented team is working hard to scale into our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing line and shared their perspectives with Ben on our journey to scaling production of Z3 systems. According to new data from the Clean Investment Monitor, the U.S. set a record in clean energy investments, with $71 billion in the first quarter of 2024. Manufacturing investment saw the steepest increase, and more specifically, investments in battery manufacturing alone grew by 36% quarter-over-quarter reaching $11 billion.   This type of investment is critical for our future grid stability, and we're excited to be part of this record-breaking year. Just a month ago, we announced a strategic investment from Cerberus Capital Management, which will help us accelerate production of our American-made Z3™ Cubes to meet the growing demands for long duration storage systems.   As demand for advancements in battery technology grows, our strategic partnerships help position us to seize the opportunity that lies ahead. Driven by the recent increased demand for LDES technology caused by AI and IRA legislation, companies must quickly transition to large-scale, commercial production to meet the growing need. CEO Joe Mastrangelo spoke with Maeve Allsup at Latitude Media about how Eos plans to achieve scale, a hurdle that has largely evaded the LDES sector, and the opportunities and challenges that come with it.   “As in any field, being among the first to reach the production or deployment scale comes with immense challenges: ‘This is the hardest thing I’ve done in my career,’ Mastrangelo said.”   Our transition from lab development to large-scale production has been accelerated with the recent backing of Cerberus Capital Management, and the growing interest from commercial and industrial customers – particularly data center developers and hyperscalers – in using LDES as a baseload technology, only increases the need for solutions like the Eos Z3™ system.   Joe also highlights the need for mid-stage investments, like the up to $315.5 million strategic investment from Cerberus, to help companies overcome the “start-up valley of death,” especially if the U.S. wants to support the jump to new, more sustainable technologies.   Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eBd3YNR4

Today, we are excited to announce an expansion with Indian Energy LLC and the California Energy Commission, increasing our existing project size by 25 MWh to reach 60 MWh of long duration energy storage capacity on the Viejas Enterprise Microgrid.   This marks our largest order funded by the CEC and should further strengthen grid resiliency on the tribal lands of the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians in Alpine, California through a hybrid of Eos Z3™ and Gen 2.3 systems. We've successfully launched commercial production on our first state-of-the-art manufacturing line in Turtle Creek! With this line, designed and developed in partnership with ACRO AUTOMATION SYSTEMS, INC., we'll begin to ramp up Z3 manufacturing over the next six months to achieve 1.25 GWh of annual capacity - with extension plans to reach 2 GWh.   This operational milestone combined with our recently announced investment from Cerberus Capital Management are both clear indications that we have the resources and capabilities in place to scale production and meet the growing demands for safe, American-made long duration battery storage systems.
