Meet Nicole Gerdov, PE, MBA, Senior Sales Manager at Electric Power Engineers. Nika began her career as an electrical engineer in the utility industry, earning her PE in power before transitioning into business development and sales within the renewable energy space. With an MBA in Strategy and Marketing, she combines both her technical and business expertise. Prior to joining EPE, Nika led a project management team at a startup, where she gained valuable leadership experience directing a multifaceted team. At EPE, Nika serves as an Account Manager, overseeing some of the company’s largest accounts. She manages client relationships, handles contracts and purchase orders, and ensures that backend operations run smoothly. When asked about her favorite aspect of working at EPE, Nika said, “It’s the people. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the smartest, most helpful people here. I look forward to continuously learning from them.” Nika’s advice to engineers looking to transition into a business development role is to maintain their technical edge. She emphasizes that the combination of technical expertise and sales skills is rare and describes the ability to balance both as a “superpower.” Come work with Nika on our expanding business development team. As Electric Power Engineers wraps our latest great RE+ success, we thank Solar Energy Industries Association and Smart Electric Power Alliance for bringing our industries together for such a powerful momentum generator. Together, we’re powering the energy transition forward. EPE’s mission – harnessing world-class expertise and innovative power systems technology to engineer a successful energy transition – matches collective goals that come to life in exciting ways as tens of thousands of energy professionals gather for RE+ – the biggest clean energy industry trade show in North America. Just as #REplus24 drove record-breaking attendance, surpassing last year’s “record-shattering” levels, Team EPE had our strongest presence on site yet. We enjoyed sharing our latest tech innovations and expert consulting services with our valued clients and new connections. Our booth was at the exact center of Hall E, just as our business is at the center of solving toughest power grid problems, delivering #energytransition solutions – from sound project #siting to #interconnection, #transmission to #DERs. Special thanks to hosting associations that made this RE+ the greatest yet while driving our industries forward. EPE is proud to be both a SEIA and SEPA member. EPE was honored to meet SEIA CEO Abby Hopper onsite at #REPlus. We thank her for leading us in celebrating 20 years of RE+, 50 years of SEIA and decades of business growth. “We are growing at breakneck speed,” she said during opening session, highlighting the #IRA’s impact. We agree, Abby. Nothing excites us more than being a trusted power engineering partner to make it all possible. EPE supports the future view SEPA CEO Sheri Givens shared during her opening remarks, “over 1000 SEPA members share a vision – we envision an equitable zero carbon future together.” EPE is here to provide the expert engineering services and cutting-edge software solutions partners need to solve toughest problems and advance successful projects. Thanks to all clients and new connections who engaged with us in Anaheim. As Abby said, “we are just getting started.” Let’s continue the conversations we started at #REplus24 to make big energy transition possibilities new realities. Reach out to us to tackle what’s next. #CleanEnergy #PowerEngineering #Software Pictured: - Team EPE enjoyed meeting with clients and making new connections at our RE+ booth. PJM's recent capacity auction secured resources to meet the company's reliability requirements, but the prices went up by 830% compared to last year's auction. This price increase reflects the lack of generation resources and growing transmission constraints, which are exacerbated by PJM's interconnection backlog issue in the region. Consequently, there are significant opportunities for distribution-connected resources to contribute locally, interconnecting with shorter timelines and helping to avoid exacerbating transmission constraints. At Electric Power Engineers, we're actively developing integrated grid planning frameworks that coordinate distribution planning and consumer program design with bulk-power system planning, so that distribution planning can help interconnect additional generation resources and reduce transmission infrastructure congestion. Visit booth #13054 in Hall E at #REPlus24 to connect with our team of experts about EPE’s innovative transmission solutions, grid modernization strategies, and software services. https://lnkd.in/ghHQ4JWY #CleanEnergy #EnergyTransition
