About us
Founded in Fairbanks, AK, in 1988, Epicenter Press, Inc. is now the largest trade publisher of nonfiction books about Alaska. Epicenter has published more than 175 titles covering a broad range of nonfiction touching on history, memoirs and biographies, adventure, aviation, humor, true crime, mystery and the unexplained, sled dog mushing, women's stories, and Native American culture. Epicenter accepts nonfiction proposals and queries that relate to Alaska and the Pacific Northwest: biography and memoir, history, humor, life in the North, Native American culture, and true crime are among our accepted categories. We seek well-written, fast-paced, absorbing, compelling, and entertaining nonfiction manuscripts about life in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, and exceptional content for gift and art books. Epicenter does not publish fiction, poetry, or children's titles. Both unagented and agent submissions are welcome. We discourage multiple submissions, but authors should keep us informed if a manuscript is no longer available.
