🚨 New Report on Gender Equality: A Call for Urgent Action 🚨 The latest report by UN Women and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs covers all 17 #SDGs and presents the stark reality: 🌏 Global Commitments Falling Short: Not a single indicator under SDG 5 (Gender Equality) has been fully achieved. 🍃 Climate Crisis: Under a worst-case climate scenario, up to 158 million more women and girls could be pushed into extreme poverty by 2050. 👩⚕️ Care Work: Globally, women spend 2.5 times as many hours a day on unpaid care and domestic work as men 📈 Gender Parity in Leadership: We may not see gender parity in parliaments before 2063. It's time for radical action to accelerate progress on gender equality!
