Last week, Kevin Cosper and our partner Jorge Zubizarreta attended the Argentina Oil & Gas Expo Patagonia. Throughout the three-day event, they connected with colleagues and regional clients, and attended technical presentations that highlighted the latest industry trends. It was a fantastic event, thank you to the IAPG volunteers and organizers for putting on another successful conference.

Industry Insights - this week, we're highlighting an older article written by Kraig Shipley. Steam piping systems that are not adequately controlling condensate levels may experience a steam hammer event, which is when a slug of condensate is propelled at high velocity down the piping system. When the large dynamic slug force hits an elbow or pipe cap, it can displace the piping system or slide the pipe shoes off the structural members. In this case study, Kraig discusses a consulting project that used SIMFLEX-IV to determine if a steam header was still fit-for-service after a steam hammer event. Monday motivation! Last week, our Mechanical and Structural Team volunteered at the Nature Center At Shaker Lakes. Our team donated materials and worked together to build eight picnic tables for the enjoyment of members of the community. Two of the picnic tables were even built at the archery station in the woods! We enjoyed the opportunity build the picnic tables, continue to strengthen our team, and help build a better community.
