A Year of Sabrina's Famous Newspaper Costumes✨️ It's been an incredible year of bringing people together through the simple magic of newspaper and blue tape. What started as a fun idea has turned into a vibrant celebration of creativity, bravery, and collaboration. In just 25 minutes, strangers become friends, and ordinary materials transform into extraordinary costumes. 💃🌟 From exploring themes of liberation to constructing imaginative designs, every session has been a reminder of the joy in creating something together. A huge thank you to everyone who's joined in and made these moments so memorable. 😅🥰 Here's to many more shared laughs and creative bursts in the future. 🍻 Photos are from Texas States' Stem Beats Youth Camp, The Austin Youth Summit, The Cultural Suppa Club, and Austin Community College. @beautybuildsbonds @austinyouthsummit @raptjr @steventhephotog @accdistrict

I am reflecting on a meaningful afternoon at the museum, where I facilitated an art experience with a small, intimate group. Over two hours, we engaged in deep and thoughtful conversations that explored profound topics such as joy, our societal roles, barriers to equitable living, and the importance of freedom of expression. Using the slow-looking process, we examined four impactful artworks, allowing us to connect deeply with the pieces and with each other. The group was brave in sharing their insights and reflections, creating a safe space for self-compassion and growth. This journey was not just about art; it was about better understanding ourselves and our world. I am grateful for the openness and thoughtfulness of everyone involved. Together, we created a beautiful experience that resonates beyond our time in the museum. #ArtExperience #SlowLooking #CommunityEngagement #MuseumJourney #art #museumeducation #retreats #selfreflection #selfcompassion #selfacceptance #selfcompassionjourney #selfcare #selfworth #selfawareness #selflove #compassion #nourishyoursoul #mindfulpractice #radicalselflove #emotionalhealth #mentalhealth #traumahealing #youareenough #mindfulness#anxietysupport #emotionalwellbeing #reflection

Why is living truly authentically a little scary?
- 'not of chasing perfection, but of living authentically'. 👈 That part. I've only started realizing this in the past few months! My journey is slow and full of unknowns right now, but for the first time in a long time, I feel like I am living authentically (and that's a little scary).

Charles Ray's ability to infuse his sculptures with such unsettling tension between innocence and discomfort is truly remarkable. His work resonates with a haunting quality that challenges traditional perceptions of art and human representation.
🙈 🙉 🙊 Confronting Uncomfortable Truths This white sculpture, with a hand shaped like a gun, caught my eye. It is a powerful symbol evoking deep emotions and reflections on violence in our society. In the background, a painting of women laughing provokes thought. The boy's outdated clothes are reminiscent of Nazi Youth, which contrasts his neutral expression, furthering feelings of unease. Art mirrors our world, sometimes confronting uncomfortable truths. This juxtaposition's racial undertones remind us of the ongoing fight for equality and justice.
