🎉 Ethereum Community Approves ERC3643 as the First Tokenization Standard We're proud to announce that the ERC3643 standard has achieved 'Final' status in its Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP), a significant milestone granted by the Ethereum community. 🔷 ERC3643 sets a new precedent in tokenization, becoming the first-ever standard tailored for compliant tokenization to earn this approval from the Ethereum community. 🔷 Its recognition as an official standard also underscores the Ethereum community's dedication to supporting the diverse needs of its users and setting a benchmark for institutions to leverage this standard for their #tokenization initiatives. 🔷 ERC3643 joins the ranks of well-known protocols like ERC20 and ERC721, which underwent similar rigorous processes to be recognized by the Ethereum community. 🎉 This is an incredible milestone that wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless efforts of the association and its esteemed members. It is a stepping stone for what’s to come next. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eHijNs-a #ERC3643 #EIP #Ethereum #Tokenization #RWA Joachim Lebrun
About us
Welcome to ERC3643 Association - a non-profit organization dedicated to standardizing the tokenization market through ERC-3643, to eliminate silos. ERC-3643 is the permissioned token standard that ensures compliance and controls. ERC-3643 tokens can only be transferred between eligible users, based on decentralized identities to enforce on-chain compliance validation. Powerful features like freezing and recovering tokens are available for issuers to control tokens in both private or public blockchains for any regulatory requests from authorities. We bring together institutions and leaders to contribute voluntarily to the entire industry with concrete outcomes such as educational content, free developer tools, insightful workshops and events. The goal is to provide high quality and valuable knowledge accessible for all to accelerate the adoption of tokenization. ERC-3643, originating as the T-REX Protocol in 2018 and officially received the “final status” for its EIP, joining the famous ERC-20 and ERC-721 standard recognized by the Ethereum community in 2023. Hacken's audit ensures its robustness. With a proven track record spanning six years, ERC-3643 stands tall as the premier standard for compliant tokenization, driving global adoption and fostering interoperability in the tokenization market. 🔵 The ERC-3643 standard gained recognition in the recent J.P. Morgan report, "Emerging Technology Trends: JPMorganChase Perspective." Highlighting the importance of #standardization for broader adoption of #tokenization in finance, the report focuses on the ERC-3643 standard: 💡“To further tokenization adoption, agreement on standards would allow for compliance rules to be embedded in smart contracts. A blockchain tokenization standard that was recently adopted for Ethereum, one of the most actively used blockchains, is called ERC-3643, which introduces compliance mechanisms and controlled advanced functions into tokenized assets.” The report also projects a multi-trillion dollar market for asset tokenization by 2030, with potential revenues estimated to reach $400 billion. To achieve these projections, financial institutions need solid #compliance solutions. The #ERC3643 standard plays a crucial role in facilitating secure, compliant, and efficient digital finance. 📢 The #ERC3643 standard was a key topic of discussion at #EthCC, led by Joachim Lebrun, the initial creator of the standard, and Tony Malghem, CTO at Tokeny. Their talk, "DeFi for Real World: ERC-3643 and RWA Tokenization," explored the #compliance features built into ERC-3643 and its integrated on-chain digital identity solution, #ONCHAINID. 🌐 Due to its embedded compliance features and seamless interoperability functionalities, the #ERC3643 is considered ideal for #RWA #Tokenization. 📢 The #ERC3643 standard was featured in the International Organization of Securities Commissions - IOSCO’s Final Report with Policy Recommendations for Decentralized Finance (DeFi). IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) is an association of organizations that regulate the world's securities and futures markets. Members are typically primary securities and/or futures regulators in a national jurisdiction or the main financial regulator from each country. 🔍The report explores the future of data standards in #DeFi, presenting views on whether regulators or the industry should take the lead in developing these standards. 🚀 ERC3643, the standard for permissioned tokens with built-in compliance features, was highlighted as an industry-developed standard with the potential for wide adoption. This recognition underscores its vital role in promoting secure and regulated token ecosystems. ERC3643 is shaping the future of DeFi by setting benchmarks for compliance and security in digital assets. To read the full report, check here: https://bit.ly/4ctl7DS

⚡ The World Federation of Exchanges mentions #ERC3643 as a common standard for asset #tokenization. Established in 1961, the WFE is the global industry association for exchanges and clearinghouses. Headquartered in London, it represents the providers of over 250 pieces of market infrastructure. In the report "Demystifying Tokenisation: Embracing the Future," which the WFE published this month, they provide a clear step-by-step description of how to tokenize. The ERC-3643 standard is mentioned as a common standard for asset tokenization. 💡 We’d like to elaborate that ERC-3643 is an extension of the ERC-20 standard with an additional compliance layer. This ensures ERC-3643 tokens are natively compatible with any ERC-20 tokens and applications while ensuring compliance. We thank contributors James Auliffe, Richard Metcalfe, and Nandini Sukumar.
