3 years 5 countries 30 cities 130+ events Thousands of Associates September 16, 2021, a date that started it all for us here at ESM Pros. What was once simply a thought became a reality that day. After over 18 years in the industry, it was now time for a new start, on our own. Over the past three years, we have continued to grow exponentially with clients, associates, and our internal team. We have had the privilege of crafting experiences for events of all sizes, industries, and demographics. From automotive industry folks to cybersecurity hackers to medical doctors and fast food franchise owners, we have registered, greeted, and scanned the badges of hundreds of thousands of attendees from all over the world. Through the past several years, we have built lasting relationships that have granted access to new experiences and even bigger opportunities. We look forward to what this next year has in store. Crafting memorable experiences across the globe is one of our biggest passions. In the month of August we are supporting events in Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Sydney. We also have made the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV our second home as some of our larger events have kept us here throughout the month. From high tech hackers, to low-tech furry creatures, August is proving once again to be an incredibly busy and fun month for us. To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, Mandalay Bay demonstrated compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.* 3) Over 120+ events ago, back in September 2021, the very first event ESM Pros supported was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center; And we are happy to support your next event here as well. From helping shuttle 25,000 Human Resource professionals in Chicago to helping ensure data privacy and protecting a communities’ personal information via properly shredding old documents in San Diego, last week was a great time. Formally opened in 1960, McCormick Place is named in honor of Colonel Robert R McCormick, a controversial and charismatic visionary who served as editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune and whom, prior to his death in 1955, spearheaded the drive to build a world-class lake-front convention center in the city of Chicago. The campus includes more than 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space, the 10,000 seat Wintrust Arena, the 4,188 seat proscenium arch Arie Crown Theater, nearly 3,000 attached guest rooms, and a variety of onsite dining options – all connected by a network of pedestrian skybridges and promenades. This past week was full of activity for our teams; ESM Pros helped craft memorable experiences in San Francisco, CA and San Diego, CA as well as Las Vegas, NV. On this episode of "Convention Centers from Around the Globe", we are featuring the San Diego Convention Center in Beautiful San Diego, California. Did you know these fun facts? It was originally designed as an open-air facility. The design was inspired by San Diego's nautical history. Architect Arthur Erickson drew inspiration from the adjacent waterfront. Throughout the composition of the structure, elements clearly pay homage to sails, masts, + waves. The Convention Center was upgraded from LEED Silver to LEED Gold. In 2011 the Convention Center was certified LEED Silver by the United States Green Building Council. This is a significant accomplishment, but what is most interesting is the Center didn't stop there. Through a tremendous effort to improve existing environmental issues like minimizing waste, composting food, improving transportation, responsible environmental purchasing, + advanced energy conservation the building was upgraded to a LEED Gold building. Looking to hire staff in Nevada? Minimum wage and the OT threshold increases effective July 1st.

Starting July 1, 2024, the minimum wage in Nevada is expected to reach $12 for employees without health benefits and $11 for those with benefits. This gradual increase is part of an effort to provide a more livable wage for workers in the state. Furthermore, in conjunction with the minimum wage adjustments, changes to Nevada's overtime regulations will also take effect. As a general summary, employees earning less than $18 per hour may earn Overtime for hours worked in excess of eight hours (8) per workday as well as for hours worked in excess of forty (40) Regular hours per workweek. Employees earning $18.00 per hour or more will earn Overtime for hours worked in excess of forty (40) only. Partnering with agencies who understand local laws helps to ensure compliance with said laws, increase employee engagement and productivity, and reduce prospective legal and financial liabilities to employers and partner-clients. Did you know these fun facts? 1. Receiving the 2022 Stella Award for Best Convention Center – Midwest, America’s Center is home to four distinct meeting facilities under one roof: Cervantes Convention Center, The Dome at America’s Center, the St. Louis Executive Conference Center and the Ferrara Theatre. In addition, the convention center features six exhibit halls, a ballroom and more than 95 meeting rooms. The Arch “celebrates the westward expansion of the United States and the pioneers who made it possible.
