ESP is excited to spotlight an important project from one of our dedicated subsidiary firms, Ditesco, LLC! Ditesco, based out of Fort Collins, Colorado, is partnering with the Town of Firestone to replace over 21,000 linear feet of old asbestos waterlines throughout the community. New PVC waterlines, fresh asphalt, and updated sidewalks on 4th Street and Florence Avenue are now complete. Ditesco’s engineers were responsible for the design of these upgrades, as well as the overall management of construction. #infrastructure #publicsector #civilengineering

Happy Back to School Month! We hope everyone is having a great start to the school year, and as always, we're grateful to play a role in supporting school construction and expansion projects within our communities. Supporting our valued client Fort Mill School District, our team is currently hard at work to help complete the construction of Flint Hill Elementary School, South Carolina's first public school funded entirely through Impact Fees. This future home of the Flint Hill Cubs is scheduled to welcome up to 1,200 students for the 2025-2026 school year. The larger Flint Hill campus will include roadway improvements to accommodate anticipated school traffic and will eventually include the district’s next middle school and associated athletic facilities. For this overall project, ESP is proudly providing land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, water resources engineering, surveying, and geospatial services. #civilengineering #schools #k12education

For National Aviation Day, ESP is thrilled to highlight one of our dedicated subsidiary firms, Pickett and Associates, LLC! Pickett offers a variety of aerial survey services with two in-house aircraft! Their fixed-wing aircraft allow them to collect data for wide-area, high-altitude projects, in addition to low-altitude corridors at lower speeds. Pickett’s aerial capabilities also include aerial lidar collection, aerial imaging, and UAS services for a variety of projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional with a strong background in hydrographic/H&H survey technologies and route, mobile, and terrestrial lidar scanning to join a well-established, dynamic firm. This position will include oversight and management of survey projects with NCDOT and SCDOT, as well as occasional support on other national-level projects. With fall just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy a game of tennis or pickleball, and we’ve got the perfect place – the newly renovated and expanded Fort Mill Tennis Complex! ESP was thrilled to assist the Town of Fort Mill, SC in re-envisioning this site to include two renovated pickleball courts, four renovated tennis courts, two new championship-level courts, a new tennis building for office space and storage, a new restroom facility, and associated pedestrian paths and parking. For this project, ESP provided planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, geotechnical exploration, Special Inspections, and survey services. #landscapearchitecture #civilengineering #recreation

It’s time for another ESP employee spotlight, and today, we are taking a moment to highlight a dedicated member of our team, Derek Rhoten! Derek is a Pavement Collection Technician based out of our Fort Mill, SC office. After earning his degree in Geography, Derek joined ESP in 2020. Since that time, he has been busy collecting over 3,200 pavement miles! His data collection has taken him all over the US and Canada, including Ontario, Colorado, Texas, North and South Carolina, Kansas, Arizona, Georgia, California, South Dakota, and British Columbia. Derek finds his job fulfilling and enjoys that it keeps him active and outdoors most of the year. He says it’s awesome to be able to travel and see so much, knowing that there are few other careers that make that possible. We’re so grateful to have Derek as part of the ESP team! #surveying #geospatial #mapping
