🎮 Team Vitality Takes a Stand Against Toxicity in Esports! In an impactful new initiative supported by ALDI, Team Vitality is tackling the issue of toxicity towards women in gaming. Through a powerful video, Team Vitality players share their personal experiences with harassment, shedding light on misogyny in esports while promoting positivity and mental health. With only 7% of esports competitors being women, despite making up 50% of the global gaming audience, it’s clear that change is needed. This initiative is part of Team Vitality’s broader mission to promote diversity and create role models through their female team, the Rising Bees. 💬 What do you think of this initiative? Happy to share that after a long ponder... I have joined the Esports Trade Association as a member as of this week! What's more, I'll be featuring on their podcast "Esports Connected" in the coming weeks 🥳 I joined after many consultations from somebody who I consider a role model in the space, Nik Turner and seeing the good work that the association is able to do for it's members. Nik's tireless work to support grassroots esports and act as a role model for young folk everywhere inspires me daily to do the same. I look forward to working with the ESTA on future projects and volunteering my services in other areas, to support and deliver quality outcomes in esports for the future.
