In honor of World Food Day this week, Esrockers packed meals for children and families in need. As leaders in the foodservice industry, we know that it’s our duty to help end world hunger. And the folks at Feed My Starving Children provide an excellent opportunity for us to give back. Alongside dozens of other volunteers, we packed 93 boxes — that’s 20,088 meals for hungry children all over the world. Keep an eye out for more charity work in the future. Every employee at Esrock gets a day off for service, and we have multiple volunteer events every year. It was another great NACS Show sharing the passion of the convenience industry! Here are a few of our key takeaways: The industry is focused on attracting a more diversified consumer audience. At the heart of those efforts is Gen Z. Hot food and grab ‘n’ go beverage continue to be drivers to get people through the doors and into stores. Snack innovations are happening at the show. Many brands are putting them front and center. We loved The Hershey Company's Waffle Cone Bar and Kellanova's Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treat. Celebrities are good for business. Their brand endorsements attract new and familiar customers. Kevin Hart, Rob Gronkowski, Conor McGregor, Jerome Bettis and many more were at the show this year. #NACSShow #WeAreConvenience
