Meet our August rocketeer of the month, Priya Abiram . From a young age, space has always fascinated her, but she often questioned whether she was capable of pursuing a career in the industry. In 8th grade, she was one of just four girls in a tech elective class of 40 students. Every day, she struggled with self-doubt. Then, at the end of the year, her teacher held a model rocketry competition, and to her surprise, she won! That was her first real validation that she could actually succeed in this field. Since then, her passion for rocketry has only grown. Priya started experimenting with model rockets on her own and began teaching rocketry lessons to her Civil Air Patrol unit. In high school, she enjoyed participating in the Team America Rocketry Challenge, and in college she has committed herself even more seriously to rocketry. She is currently a recovery payload engineer for Cornell Rocketry, and she is working on achieving her L2 and L3 high-power rocketry certifications. Priya expresses, "My ultimate dream is to one day go to space, and my love for Estes Rockets has been a driving force along the way." She continues to pursue her passion with determination! Thank you for your incredible support, Priya, and best of luck with your future rocketry endeavors! 🚀 #estesrockets #modelrocketry #rocketryjourney

The Saturn V rocket stands as an iconic symbol of human achievement, playing a pivotal role in the Space Race and setting the stage for the future of aerospace exploration. As the most powerful rocket ever built, it propelled the Apollo missions to the Moon, culminating in the historic Apollo 11 landing in 1969. The Saturn V's success not only marked a victory in the Space Race but also demonstrated the incredible potential of human ingenuity and engineering. Estes model rocketry captures the essence of this historical achievement through our new detailed Saturn V 1:100 master level builder kit, allowing enthusiasts to connect with the legacy of the Space Race in a more tangible way. As we look ahead to the future of aerospace, it is crucial to honor and preserve the spirit of innovation and exploration from that era, fostering a continued passion for space exploration and igniting the imagination of the next generation. Take a look at this clip from our head designer, John Boren! #estesrockets #apollo11 #moonlanding #spacerace #aerospace #spaceexploration #engineersofthefuture

This past weekend was an unforgettable blend of fun and heartfelt moments. The Estes Family Day at NARAM-65 was a resounding success! We spent the day building rockets, enjoying family games, and culminating with thrilling rocket launches. Huge thanks to our sponsor, Club For The Future, and our exhibitors, Space Foundation and Cool Science, for making it all possible. On Sunday, we honored the life of the legendary Gleda Estes, a pioneer in model rocketry and a champion for education. It was a privilege to gather with so many who shared their love and admiration for her. This weekend was a powerful reminder of the incredible model rocketry community. We at Estes are truly honored to be a part of it! #NARAM65 #EstesRockets #GledaEstes #ModelRocketry #EstesRockets #STEM #FamilyFun

Meet Aaron Berndt, our adventurous Videographer/Photographer who has been with Estes for 3 and a half years! Aaron's biggest inspiration growing up was his best friend's dad, an "old adventurer" who instilled a passion for exploration. He taught Aaron "all he knows about bushcraft and mountain travel, and took us on many backpacking trips, ski trips, mountain biking adventures, surf trips and much more. We still hang out to ski and surf to this day!" When he's not filming cool rockets or working with the great people at Estes (his favorite parts of his job), Aaron loves being up in the mountains, rock climbing, river surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding! Dishes are his least favorite household chore and his favorite ice cream topping is heath bar crumbles! Thank you Aaron for all of your hard work and amazing photos/videos that you've captured over the last 3.5 years!
