    Expectations can be tricky, especially when our expectations of ourselves are unrealistic. What are others expectations of us? Are those expectations realistic? Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves sometimes? How can we manage everything that's on our plate? It's important to prioritize and set boundaries. Prioritize tasks and objectives based on what is achievable and fulfilling for you. Setting boundaries with others can also help manage unrealistic expectations they may have of you. You should also get in the habit of communicating openly and honestly. Being clear with others about your limitations, capabilities, and desires can help normalize realistic expectations both from yourself and other individuals. When you establish relationships based on mutual respect, it can help ensure that the dynamics of your personal and professional relationships are balanced and founded on relevant and reasonable expectations. August is national "make a will" month so let's highlight why getting this done is so important. 1. Ensures your wishes are followed: A will allows you to outline exactly how you want your assets and belongings to be distributed after your passing. This helps ensure that your loved ones are taken care of according to your wishes. 2. Avoids disputes: Without a will, your assets may be distributed according to state intestacy laws, which may not align with your wishes. This can lead to disputes among family members and loved ones. A clear and legally binding will can help prevent disagreements and minimize the potential for conflict. 3. Protects your children and dependents: If you have minor children or dependents, a will allows you to designate a guardian to care for them in the event of your passing.     Take a break from the constant scrolling. Your eyes, brain, and overall well-being will thank you. Subtle changes can help ease you out of this behavior. Here are some other tips: 1. Check your phone consciously, not compulsively. 2. Slow down. If you can't stop, at least try to cut back on the pace. 3. Get up and do something physical - anything physical will help. 4. Disconnect. Sometimes you need to cut it off completely, even if it's only for a short period of time. 5. Spend some time in the present.
