Be a force for good in our community! Your gift to the Y supports community-based programs, transformative services and our financial assistance program. Take our rotating youth, teen and family events, for example. Since opening, the Y has welcomed 289 individuals to 19 events, as well as more than 700 families to the annual Healthy Kids Day in April! Middle School Madness is a Y tradition that has continued in the new Y and offers a safe space for middle schoolers to socialize and have fun. For Sacia, mother of 14-year-old twins Zeca and Gabriel, Middle School Madness has become a cherished routine. “They meet up with friends from other middle schools that they don’t get to see regularly. After Middle School Madness, they have a sleepover at someone’s house. It’s become a routine,” Sacia shares. “I’ve enjoyed it because it is completely safe. I totally trust the staff there. It’s a good first experience to go out and stay out late without parents.” Be a FORCE FOR GOOD in and join us in supporting transformative programs like this. Give today: bit.ly/YForceForGood

🚧 A reminder that the second floor of the Y (PeaceHealth Wellness Center and ALL studio spaces) will be CLOSED next week from Monday, July 15 until Sunday July 21. Group fitness classes will be canceled, and all equipment will be inaccessible so that construction crews can re-glue the wood floor, which is failing due to an installation error. We apologize for this inconvenience as we work to keep the facility safe and functional to serve the community's fitness needs.

Be a force for good in our community! Your gift to the Y supports community-based programs, transformative services and our financial assistance program. Take PlayZone and KidZone, for example, the Y’s drop-in child care rooms for youth between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years old. These child care spaces are vital for social development, connecting with caring adults other than their parents and fostering cognitive growth through play. This nurturing environment not only benefits the children but also allows their parents to flourish. “We’re just very appreciative to have this space, to have a place to go, and to be in a community,” Felix, father of 2-year-old Quinn, says. “It was extremely helpful, especially when Quinn was between six weeks to two months, just to be with other adults and have a place where Quinn is in good hands and is loved by the Y staff.” Be a FORCE FOR GOOD in and join us in supporting transformative services like this. Be a force for good in our community! Your gift to the Y supports community-based programs, transformative services and our financial assistance program. One of these programs is Bingocize, a national evidence-based 10-week program focused on falls prevention. Participants do strength training exercises, while playing games of bingo and answering falls-related questions. The other critical component of the program is the social connections made among the participants. “I just love it,” Diana, who suffered from multiple falls last year, raves. “It brings fun to exercise and learning.” Be a FORCE FOR GOOD in and join us in supporting transformative programs like this. Be a force for good in our community! Your gift to the Y supports community-based programs, transformative services and our financial assistance program. One of these programs is Itty Bitty Sports, where youth between the ages of 3 and 5 are introduced to basketball, soccer, t-ball, track and field, and golf. Since the new Y opened, more than 700 kids have registered for Itty Bitty programs, and we have added track and field and golf options. “We know how crucial physical activity is for youth—to enhance health, mental well-being, and social skills,” says Pete LeMay, Youth Sports Director. “Introducing new sports at an early age sets kids up for lifelong success.” Be a FORCE FOR GOOD in and join us in supporting transformative programs like this.
