European Union Delegation to the United States reposted this
Last week I visited my 17th US state. Soon after I landed in Dallas, I was given a "bird's eye view" via helicopter ride with Airbus Helicopters. Texas is not only a big, beautiful state — it is THE biggest state for EU investment at $302.7 billion, resulting in nearly 270,000 jobs. I was pleased to be a guest of honor at the European American Chamber of Commerce Texas Economic Leadership Forum and later at their gala. Our strong relationship with the EACC underlines the important EU-Texas economic connection. As I usually do on these trips, I met some important locals like Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson. It is with mayors that I learn about how the transatlantic relationship truly affects American citizens. Together, the EU and Texas are stronger together: Building up each other's economies and creating jobs on both sides of the Atlantic. But the biggest investment we can make is in young people, sharing our values and experiences. Meeting with Ursuline Academy of Dallas and Southern Methodist University students was very inspiring, plus good vibes. 😎
