Updates

  • EIB Global and the European American Chamber of Commerce New York establish the Transatlantic Resilient Infrastructure Alliance in collaboration with the United States DFC and EXIM Bank. On Monday EIB and EACCNY signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Transatlantic Resilient Infrastructure Alliance, a platform for engaging with the private sector to boost infrastructure financing in low- and middle-income countries. This alliance will provide a Transatlantic grouping for a set of actors involved in infrastructure development and financing, building a transatlantic platform with major organisations from the US and Europe. Participants will include banks, institutional investors (such as pension funds, insurers, asset managers), and industry, all of which will join in an effort to develop sustainable financing options, identify and advance priority projects, and collaborate on the promotion of resilient infrastructure to build a sustainable future. The U.S. counterparts of this transatlantic initiative on the public sector side include the United States Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the U.S. EXIM Bank. • We had a very engaging and insightful conversation yesterday about how to "Integrate #AI into #BusinessProcesses". It was definitely a NO miss. Big thank you to our panelists, Katie Hewson (Stephenson Harwood LLP), Yingchao "YZ" Zhang, Ph.D. (AYR) and Alexander White (CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) for sharing their unique expertise with us. And also big thank you to our hosts, Kirthi Mani, CPA and Nicola Bain, ACA, CIA, BFP for working with us on this program.

  • THIS THURSDAY! October 10th (in-person) | "Integrating #AI into #Business #Processes – What, When, How, Who?" Although every #ArtificialIntelligence application is different, each one is shaped around an organization’s starting point, circumstances, and goals. To unlock the full potential of AI, companies need to embrace predictive and generative AI, align tech investments strategically, and prepare their talent for new challenges. Our panel will guide us through this process and provide us with insights how to unlock the full potential of AI in business #ProcessImprovement esp. in the light of regulatory differences between #Europe and the #UnitedStates. Discussion topics will include: 👉 Developing an #AIStrategy: 📌 Main steps: explore, assess, define clear objectives (what you want to use it for), build a roadmap 📌 Common mistakes: insufficient data, lack of awareness about AI’s capabilities and potential applications, misalignment between AI initiatives and other company goals/priorities, scarcity of talent, etc. 👉 Picking the right #AISolutions for your objectives 📌 Evaluate the AI solutions available on the market, are they scalable, do they travel [across borders] 📌 Assess data requirements, privacy restrictions 📌 Dos and Don’ts (do your thorough due diligence, start small, don’t forget your objectives, leave enough time to train your employees, etc.) 👉 Adopting the AI solution(s) 📌 Regulatory challenges deploying your AI process solution across borders 📌 Ensuring data quality, in the context of cross-border data restrictions 📌 How to insure responsible AI (accountability, transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness) 📌 Workforce issues (training, governance improvements, strategic workforce planning, etc.) #RSVP: https://lnkd.in/eXkH9znR SPEAKERS: Alexander White from CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) Katie Hewson from Stephenson Harwood LLP Tianhao Wu from AYR
