Critical thinking and problem solving 2. Communication 3. Collaboration 4. Creativity & innovation 5. Media literacy 6. Information and communications technology literacy (ICT) 7. Leadership 8. Social and cultural skills 9. Green skills Next week we will start to share the survey results from the 7 countries targeted by the EUVECA project: Denmark, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Slovenia. The EUVECA project supports the #sustainability of Europe's #healthcare by providing professionals with future-oriented skills to address some of the sector challengs, one being climate change. 🌍 The health and care sector must play an active role in addressing the #climate challenge. The successful implementation of #sustainable procurement and resource-use strategies to reduce energy⚡, water💧, chemical🧪 and plastic use will rely on a well-trained, modern health and care workforce. 💪 According to World Health Organization, 3.6 billion people already live in areas highly susceptible to #climatechange. Between 2030 and 2050, climate change is expected to cause approximately 250 000 additional deaths per year, from undernutrition, malaria, diarrhoea and heat stress alone. 🌡️ World Health Organization’s response to these challenges centres around 3 main objectives: 1. Promote actions that both reduce carbon emissions and improve health 2. Build better, more climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable health systems 3.
