Thankful for our #ATEPI24 panelists who shared strategies for successfully collecting and tracking data on students served by their ATE projects! It's important to plan from the beginning of your grant how you're going to track student data to set yourself up for successful reporting on your ATE activities. Check out some of the templates and resources shared by Rick Vaughn, Marci Gale, Mason Lefler, Tiffany Chalfant, and Erika Sturgis: https://lnkd.in/gVMVY5ms

Megan L. and Lyssa Becho were honored to moderate a panel presentation at this year’s European Evaluation Society (EES) Annual Conference in Rimini, Italy! They had the opportunity to present many key learnings and takeaways that will be shared in a forthcoming New Directions for Evaluation on Evaluating Evaluation Capacity Building and engage in meaningful conversations with a room full of attendees. Thank you to our panelists who shared their valuable and practical insights to advance the evaluation of ECB! Specifically: * Leslie Goodyear from Education Development Center, Geara Group, Inc. shared practitioner insights adapting ECB models * Jennifer Urban from RYTE Institute MSU spoke on their updated rubrics to evaluate ECB * Bob Williams addressed evaluating ECB from a systems lens * Michael FitzGerald from The Rucks Group, LLC shared a framework that can be used to structure an evaluation of an ECB intervention. Be sure to read the full NDE issue coming this October (open access!) to learn more about their work and the ECB evaluation work of many others!

Data dashboards are powerful tools that visually organize key metrics, making tracking, analyzing, and reporting program data easier. They transform how we monitor and share evaluation insights, helping teams quickly identify trends and make informed decisions. We're excited for our next EvaluATE Webchat on October 15—"Creating Data Dashboards"! We've tagged individuals registered for the webchat, but whether you're planning to join us or not, we would love to hear from you on the following question: What is the most important feature of a data dashboard for program evaluation? How has it helped you track program performance or guide decision-making? #EvaluATEWebchat #EvaluationCommunity #DataDashboards #ProgramEvaluation #EvaluationTools #Evaluation

At EvaluATE, we are often asked how people without formal training in evaluation can become ATE evaluators. One part of our answer is finding a way to learn about concepts that are unique to the field of evaluation. Yes, it's important to be familiar with research methods, but there is a whole host of strategies, approaches, and theories specific to evaluation. We're excited to share a new way to learn more about core concepts in evaluation with a newly published book edited by four leaders of the EvaluATE project! This book combines classic writings on evaluation across six core concepts with contemporary contributions from 26 authors, offering diverse experiences and perspectives from around the globe. If you're looking to enhance your evaluation knowledge, this is a great place to start!
It’s so exciting to see our vision for this book come to life! Thank you to all the wonderful authors and everyone who supported the work behind the scenes! The book is a bridge between tradition and innovation in evaluation. It combines classic writings from the pioneers who shaped the field with new essays on the same concepts by members of the next generation of evaluation thought leaders. We wanted the book to honor evaluation's past while introducing fresh, forward-thinking ideas. I think we did it! Learn more at https://lnkd.in/daRuv25u
