Hit Submit!, Check-ins, and R.I.S.E. Our Fall programming delivers support and guidance to assist Scholars in finding a "good fit" college, staying on track to graduate, and launching successfully into a career. We are currently in "Hit Submit!" days, where Scholars and staff come together to celebrate as they submit their college applications. The College Access team has been collaborating with ETHS Senior Scholars as they finalize their lists, essays, and supplemental materials for their college applications. ETHS Junior Scholars have been attending workshops and college visits, to prepare them for the next steps in the college process. The College Success team is excited to begin working with College first-year Scholars and see how they're embracing their new life on campus, managing their workloads, and prioritizing their holistic mental health. They're also checking in with returning College Scholars of all ages to ensure everyone is on track to reach their goals. The Career Readiness Team is thrilled to team up with Scholars once a month to dive into essential tools, skills, and experiences for landing internships, job opportunities, externships, and more in Summer 2025 through the R.I.S.E. Program (Relevant Internships for Successful Employment.) The Evanston Scholars' Career Readiness program empowers our Scholars with the resources, knowledge, and connections they need to secure amazing jobs and thrive as first-generation graduates. College Access Associate at Evanston Scholars

Last week marked the end of my time with Evanston Scholars. I'm extremely grateful to have worked with an amazing team, who inspired me through their dedication and passion for supporting our first-generation, low income students. Most importantly, I'm thankful for the opportunity to have worked with hardworking, ambitious, and wonderful scholars. I'm proud to have seen their growth through the transition from high school to college. I'm excited to see what they all accomplish. I've grown so much in the college access/counseling space, and it's a bittersweet moment. Will continue to support their success, as I turn the page into this next chapter in my life. ❤️ #MakeItHappen

We're thrilled to see our new College Scholars settling into their first year on campus! Our care package campaign is almost over, and we're halfway to reaching our funding goal. Care packages are a fantastic way to remind them that the Evanston Scholars community is here for them, no matter where they are. If you’d like to contribute, please remember that no donation is too small. Every bit helps us put together something special, filled with tasty treats, handy items, and heartfelt notes from home. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already donated; your generosity makes a significant difference in our Scholars' lives. We also extend our gratitude to our corporate sponsors for their invaluable support. Together, we’re reminding our Scholars that we’re here to support them TO and THROUGH college and CAREER LAUNCH. Our goal is to raise $8,000 to fund the care packages by October 7. https://lnkd.in/du4sHEwe
