We are happy to announce that our newest team members have successfully completed their inaugural Evergreen book club: Radical Candor by Kim Scott! At Evergreen, we believe in fostering a culture where caring personally and challenging directly are not just guiding principles but are deeply embedded in our everyday interactions with each other. Radical Candor has provided us with invaluable insights and practical tools to enhance our communication and leadership skills. Every new team member at Evergreen goes through the Radical Candor book club as part of onboarding. The book club establishes cultural expectations and gives employees tools and techniques to demonstrate radical candor in our work environment. We encourage an environment of honesty and compassion, empowering our team to provide and receive constructive feedback that contributes to our organization's continual improvement and success. Seven years ago today, Evergreen Healthcare Partners officially became a thing. These past seven years have been the most fulfilling and enjoyable chapter of my entire professional career. I’m forever grateful for Rebecca Bottorff, Jeff Leach, and Aaron Friedman, who agreed to meet in a small conference room in Madison, Wisconsin to begin a journey that has created the company we are today. I’m indebted to all of my Evergreen colleagues (both past and present), our incredible client partners, and my amazingly supportive family for helping create my dream company and dream job. Starting a company from scratch is no joke. I look back fondly at the early days of writing paper paychecks out of a newly opened company checking account, hiring our first consultant, and earning the partnership of our first customer. I feel so privileged to work every day with the highest caliber, most passionate, and fun colleagues. I love watching them live out our core values and endeavor toward our mission to create authentic partnerships that improve healthcare (and I love laughing with them on a daily basis too!). The progress we’ve made (almost 500 employees, 130 healthcare system partners, and 3 best in KLAS awards in our first year of participation) has exceeded all of my expectations…and I’m thrilled to see what the next seven years will bring.
