    TikTok Shop affiliate marketing was the star of 2024, Affiliates generating 80% of GMV. But as we approach 2025, the model is evolving rapidly, posing new challenges and opportunities for sellers. •The 2024 Boom: Affiliates became the backbone of TikTok Shop’s GMV, but supply struggled to meet the surging demand. High-performing affiliates raised the bar, often charging for posts while occasionally promoting viral products for free. The affiliate-influencer line blurred, with affiliates often earning more due to lucrative revenue-sharing agreements. •Cold Start Challenges: Established sellers thrived as the platform rewarded success with access to quality affiliates. For newer sellers, the journey was tougher—most sample requests came from low-GMV affiliates, making it hard to break through. •2025 and Beyond: Long-term partnerships with top affiliates will be key to consistent results.     Exciting updates are coming to TikTok Shop’s Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) program in 2025 Here’s a quick breakdown of the changes, what they mean for sellers, and how they could impact your business: 1. FBT Fulfillment Fee Updates (Effective January 16, 2025) 2. Co-Funded Free Shipping Program Changes 3. FBT Hub Placement Fee 4. Tok’s inbound routing and allocation requirements. 5. Changes to Promotional Storage Period (Effective March 5, 2025) The current 90-day free storage period for FBT shipments will gradually be reduced to 30 days. This means you’ll need to be more strategic with inventory planning to avoid unnecessary storage fees.
