We’re so honored to be included on Fast Co’s “World Changing Ideas” list — in not one but three categories! 🙌 → Wellness → Health → "On the Rise" — for companies less than 4 years old 🔑 Vaginal health is not niche — it lives at the center of day-to-day physical, emotional, and sexual wellbeing for so many people. The female body shouldn't be a medical mystery.
About us
Evvy is unlocking precision women’s healthcare through novel, overlooked female biomarkers — starting with the vaginal microbiome. Backed by leading healthcare investors such as General Catalyst, Left Lane Capital, and LabCorp, the Evvy team includes leading OB/GYNs and vaginal microbiome researchers with decades of experience at organizations like UCSF, Stanford, Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, and more. Evvy is one of the fastest growing women’s health companies in the US — enabling us to deliver innovative, high quality care while scaling novel R&D to unlock a new, data-driven future in women’s health. Evvy’s Vaginal Health Test is the first at-home vaginal microbiome test to use metagenomic sequencing to tell you what’s up down there, why it matters, and what you can do about it. Evvy’s larger platform is the first vaginal healthcare service to bring together state-of-the-art testing, precision clinical care, and 1:1 coaching to give women and people with vaginas the care they deserve. Through this platform, Evvy is building real-world datasets that can transform our understanding of complex female health conditions. Imagine a world where female health is finally understood: where risks are detected early and precisely; conditions are defined with specificity and nuance; and diseases are treated with personalization and care. That’s the world that Evvy is pioneering.

I'm just now realizing how much I don't know about women's bodies. There's so much I don't know about my OWN body. 😐 . . . I'm realizing that it might be a societal problem... because the fact of the matter is... our bodies just haven't been studied enough. This latest conversation with Dr. Craig Cohen shows just how much we women and people with v*ginas need to advocate for our bodies in the areas of research and global health. This latest episode is about the vaginal microbiome and why it's so vital to your reproductive health. 🥰 🎧 👇🏾 Read the newsletter, comment "Send me the episode!" and I'll personally send you the episode 🙂 _____ Huge thank you to Evvy for sponsoring this episode. Check them out to learn more about the strides their making for women and people with vaginas everywhere. #womenshealth #globalhealth #podcast

Maybe my all-time favorite opening line in Evvy press coverage: "At first glance, you’re probably wondering: Who the f-ck would make a book with a huge dot in the center of the page? To which Evvy would probably respond: Who the f-ck would create an entire medical industry without considering women? For those curious, the dot on the front and each subsequent page is intentional and “visually represents the gaps in scientific and medical understanding of the female body."" 💥 Thank you to Gigi Fong and Hypebae for immediately understanding why we created our coffee table book, "100 Effed Facts about the Gender Health Gap" and why equal research and healthcare is so desperately overdue, and to Kaitlyn Barclay and Scout Lab for continuing to bring attention to our work. Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/eKGzVKmd Looking to get your own copy? After selling out our first edition in less than a week, we just restocked our book and are taking pre-orders: https://lnkd.in/e7twW8bq

Artificial intelligence models are only as smart as the data they’re fed. So, what happens when the healthcare data we’re using mostly focuses on men? Priyanka Jain, CEO and co-founder of Evvy, discusses how #AI can help close the data gap in women's health. https://bit.ly/4dqs09Y

Today, we published the results of our Nurx survey: Reproductive Rights Watch 2024: How Women Are Responding to The Shifting Care Landscape. Among the findings, we found more than half of women surveyed are anxious about their reproductive freedoms given the political environment, and 49% of women feel anxiety about accessing in-person care for their reproductive and sexual health. Nurx remains committed to providing specialty healthcare to women that is accessible and personalized - and with the results from this survey, we’re taking action. In a world that is trying to control care, control access, and control bodies, Nurx stands for putting the control back where it belongs: in women’s hands. We’re partnering with others in the women’s healthcare space over the coming months to speak out and help women take action and gain clarity on their reproductive and sexual healthcare choices. How you can help: - View the press release and share data from the survey: - Explore the full report: Nurx.com/repro-rights-2024 - Share your reactions to the survey - do the responses resonate with you? “100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap” Lays Bare the Sexism in US Healthcare 🙅♀️ Women weren’t required in US clinical research until June 10, 1993. Only 1% of global healthcare research is invested in female-specific conditions beyond cancer. Across 770 diseases, on average, women are diagnosed four years later than men. Less than half of medical schools have women’s health curricula. These are just four of the 100 staggering statistics compiled within Evvy’s newly released coffee table book that sheds light on the glaring sexism embedded in American healthcare. 100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap, created by Evvy as an offshoot of their Equal Research Day 2024 campaign, is a “Very Incomplete List of Ways the Female Body Has Been Left Behind by Modern Medicine.” Read the full story on PRINT: https://lnkd.in/eCqKg-_A Words: Charlotte Beach Imagery: Evvy ----- #print #printmag #printmagazine #printisnotdead #creative #identity #inspiration #linkinbio #creativenews #modernmedicine #womenshealth #genderhealthgap #healthcare #UShealthcare #healthcareresearch #sexism

"There is no shortage of “effed” facts about women’s health— the hardest part was narrowing our book down to just 100. It was important to us to highlight gaps in healthcare across all categories—not just what typically falls under “women’s health”—so we initially had hundreds of facts across cancer, heart health, hormonal health, autoimmune disease, vaginal health, menstrual health, and beyond. That makes this book one of the most comprehensive compilations of gender health gap facts ever assembled." Loved giving this interview to Print Magazine and proud that Evvy's coffee table book "100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap" continues to bring awareness to the shocking disparities in scientific and medical research. Shout out to Eli Block and Annick Saralegui for their co-creative direction of this book, and to Kaitlyn Barclay and Scout Lab for making this piece happen, and for their work year round to support women's health! #womenshealth #womenshealthmatters #femalefounder #biotech #healthcare #womenshealthcare #equalresearchday #evvy https://lnkd.in/ewb7z7zC
