Maria Larson, CEO, and Andrea Turley, P.E., COO of ExecuPOWER, recognized a significant need in the utility industry for high-quality technical services provided by a #WomenOwnedBusiness. With shifts in the sector, such as aging infrastructure, rising project volumes, and increased capital investment, they saw an opportunity to leverage their combined expertise to form a firm dedicated to delivering exceptional design and consulting services. Maria brings a wealth of business acumen from her 20 years as an entrepreneur, where she built a small outsourcing and staffing business into the largest woman-owned service provider in the industry. Andrea, a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in the gas, electric, and water utility sectors, provides deep technical and operational knowledge. Together, they lead ExecuPOWER with a vision to become one of the premier engineering and consulting firms in the U.S. power industry. Every day, they work to exceed client expectations while fostering strong partnerships and a collaborative environment, both with clients and within their organization. #WBENC #WOSB #WomenOwnedBusiness #CertifiedWomenOwnedSmallBusiness #Diversity #MeetOurFounders #PowerIndustry #ElectricalEngineering #Culture #ExecuPOWER

Employee Spotlight: Dylan Harshaw, EIT Dylan is on our Transmission team here at ExecuPOWER, but there’s a lot more to Dylan outside of office hours. In fact, he is co-founder of a national Wiffleball Leage. The Ridley Park Wiffleball League began 15 years ago as a casual backyard game among friends in Ridley Park, but has since evolved into a full-fledged national league. What started with a lawn chair as a strike zone and a simple yellow bat has grown to include nine teams, 36 players, a draft, uniforms, live-streamed games, and even a trophy. Most players are now in their 20s and grew up in the Philadelphia area. Despite its growth and participation in national tournaments, the league remains focused on fun and camaraderie among friends. We are proud of Dylan for following his passions and developing teamwork in all aspects of his life!  #ExecuPOWER #employeespotlight #teamwork Andrea Turley, P.E.Maria LarsonRosemary MalnofskiStacy CulbertsonGiovanni PannoKory Swierczek, PE, MCE, MBAMatthew Morrison, PE, PMPJoseph BaileyJenna MeyerRoger AdamsPaul Toub Jr, P.E.Megan BaileyMegan Horan,Nicole Brodbeck, PMPNick C.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) conduit is widely used in construction for electrical and telecommunication cabling due to its durability, flexibility, and resistance to chemicals and moisture. However, when PVC conduit is encased in concrete within the duct banks, the concrete curing process can impact the conduit in several ways.  Today we’ll look at heat generation. The heat generated during the curing process can cause softening or distortion of the PVC conduit if the temperature exceeds the conduit’s thermal tolerance.  Here are a few things to consider: 🔶 Use high quality, rigid PVC conduits that are specifically rated for use in concrete encasements 🔶 Choose conduits with adequate wall thickness to withstand forces exerted by curing concrete, if possible, avoid using concrete with very high PSI ratings (>5,000) 🔶 Pay attention to the volume of concrete being poured in comparison to the number of conduits being installed 🔶 Finally, monitor the temperature of the concrete when large volumes of concrete are being poured. The last thing you want is to perform a mandrel test and find out that one or more conduits are warped and need to be replaced. This will cause major delays and costs to your project. Most importantly, ExecuPOWER stays up to date with all industry standards and our innovative experts are ready to take on your next project – visit our website to see a complete list of our capabilities and services. #ExecuPOWER #PVC #telecommunication #ConstructionManagement #Engineering #Energy #Innovation #TeamSuccess

At ExecuPOWER, our office waste is more than just trash; We see it as an opportunity to reduce our impact on landfills and the natural environment. Like your home or business, we have several different types of waste that we need to properly dispose of, including general trash; paper, plastics, metals, and other recyclable materials; electronic waste; and food waste. ♻ Our property management service in our King Of Prussia office employs single stream recycling, which means that paper, plastic, metal, glass, and cardboard can all be recycled in the same bin. All recycling needs to be (mostly) free of contamination, so we are always sure to dump any remaining food or liquid before we put containers in the recycling bin. Take a look at our recycling poster to learn more about single stream recycling! ☕ Coffee keeps us running at ExecuPOWER, and our Keurigs work hard to keep up with us. Every k-cup that we use in the King Of Prussia and Seaford offices is disposed of through a program called Terracycle, which composts the coffee grounds and recycles the plastic from the k-cups. Since we started Terracycling our k-cups in May of 2022, we have diverted over 600 pounds of k-cup waste from landfills! 🖥 While ExecuPOWER minimizes its electronic waste through a laptop rental program, we still offer annual electronic and battery recycling opportunities for our employees to dispose of personal electronic waste they no longer need. We use state and federally certified providers to collect and dispose of this waste and keep our environment free of hazardous substances from electronics. ExecuPOWER is proud to invest in its waste management initiatives to continue to better our local community and natural environment 🌳 . #sustainability #ExecuPOWER #recycling #culture #teamwork #singlestreamrecycling #terracycle #electronicrecycling #batteryrecycling #wastemanagement
