We’re proud to announce that the #ExelonFoundation STEM Academy Scholarship program is now officially named the Chris Crane Memorial Scholarship in honor of our former President and CEO. In 2018, the Exelon Foundation launched the STEM Academy to provide hands-on #STEMlearning opportunities to high school girls across our service territories and provide a pathway for future careers in STEM and energy. Not long after, in 2021, the STEM Academy Scholarship program was launched to provide full-ride scholarships for alumna of the STEM Academy program. Former President and CEO of Exelon, Chris Crane, was a vocal champion of women in STEM and instrumental in the creation of the program. We’re proud to honor his legacy with this scholarship rename and excited to continue supporting future female leaders in STEM. #WomeninSTEM
