The moment is finally here 🌟We are thrilled to announce the completion and Grand Opening of our newly expanded space featuring world-class, STEAM-based learning exhibits. These exhibits will enable children’s imaginations to soar to new heights as they problem solve, think critically, and collaborate with others. This achievement is made possible by the generous support of individual and organizational donors who contributed to our Capital Campaign, including significant funding of $5 million from the RACP and $3 million from the Transformational Fund at the Erie Community Foundation.   We are excited for this new chapter and cannot wait for children and their families to expERIEnce the entire completed space and celebrate this invigorating milestone with us!

We're honored to share our involvement in a groundbreaking initiative with Cosmic Pictures and The Girls Collaborative Project, dedicated to empowering women and girls in STEAM fields. Together with Strong Vincent Middle School, we've been diligently cultivating telescope skills with a group of talented girls. Claire West, our Education Manager, underwent training at the Great Lakes Science Center, mastering state-of-the-art equipment for safe sun observation. Under her guidance, our team from Strong Vincent will capture eclipse images on April 8th for inclusion in Cosmic Pictures' 2026 IMAX movie and the CATE & DEB project journal. Supported by National Science Foundation (NSF) & NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, this initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and inclusivity among youth, particularly young women. We invite you to join us on April 6th at the museum and April 8th at Perry Square for Eclipse Day Downtown, where our aspiring scientists will share their knowledge.

Last night, our team got to witness the amazing women honored as Mercy Center For Women's Women Making History, including our very own Executive Director, Ainslie Brosig 🌟 Ainslie's leadership has propelled our museum's growth and expansion, and we are so lucky to have her as an advocate for the children in our community.
