Wrapping up a great week at #APEC2025! Kirk Barton is showcasing the Menlo Micro MM9200, a high-power #SPST microelectromechanical switch (#MEMS) that’s changing the game in power management. 💡 The MM9200 leverages innovative ideal switch technology, offering high reliability and the capability to carry high voltage and high current in a compact form factor. Kirk demonstrates a 500V, 100A array prototype—comprising 12 parallel * 2 series—for a truly scalable solution. 🔥 Impressively, this 1.3 mOhm array requires no active cooling, achieving only a 20°C rise at 100A, even in a 70°C ambient environment. It also balances current sharing with uniform temperature and has passed rigorous shock and vibration tests. ⚡ Applications include high current, high voltage circuit breakers and power relays, with markets spanning microgrids, advanced circuits, and power control and distribution.
