🌐 Drug Discovery and High Performance Computing! 🚀 🔬 Introducing the LIGATE Project: Leading the Way in Exascale Drug Discovery! 🔍💊 🌟 The LIGATE project is on a mission to revolutionize Drug Discovery in High Performance Computing (HPC) systems up to the Exascale level! 🚀 Here's a glimpse into the groundbreaking objectives that make this project truly exceptional: 1️⃣ Portable and Tunable Drug Discovery Platform: LIGATE aims to develop a cutting-edge, portable, and tunable drug discovery platform ready for Exascale HPC systems. This platform, based on a state-of-the-art proprietary application of Dompè, will integrate additional chemical features, providing a complete Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) solution. The focus is not only on functionality but also on enhancing the code to exploit heterogeneous architectures. 2️⃣ Validation on Socially Significant Problems: LIGATE plans to validate its CADD solution by addressing a novel problem of social interest. Following the success of the ANTAREX4ZIKA project, the results of a large experiment against immunoresistant targets will be publicly disclosed to the scientific community. 3️⃣ Cross-Validation in Computer Vision and AI: The project will extend its technologies to a different control use case involving computer vision and AI applied to 3D scene reconstruction. This aims to showcase the versatility of the solutions, proving they can be easily applied across various industrial domains. 🌐 Commercialization and Support: LIGATE intends to make its CADD solution available through commercial contracts to other industries or private bodies in need of drug design applications. Three levels of support will be offered, catering to different customer needs, from full cycle support to basic assistance for those with their own HPC resources. 🚀 Key Technological Advancements: LIGATE's development focuses on exploiting HPC-accelerated and tunable solutions, optimizing molecular docking to drastically reduce the time for virtual screening.
