We couldn’t agree more with what James Clear shared in his latest newsletter. At FactorLab, we pride ourselves on being generous with our ideas—because now is not the time to hold back. The future of injury prevention in the workplace demands collaboration and imagination. And here’s the truth: We have a lot of new ideas—and we’re happy to share them. We want to hear from you too! There are perspectives we can’t imagine unless we connect with others. If you’re working on something exciting, let's talk. Because when ideas flow, solutions grow.

What an honor to be a part of an industry changing event with FactorLab, Inc. and the many companies that participated. The 1st Annual #SmartTagIt Leadership Conference was a success and I am excited to see what this is in a decade and where our industry is!!! #Flintco #Factorlab #Flintco4LIFE
Whew!!!! Fresh from the closing of the SmartTagIt Leadership conference by #factorlab and hosted by #Flintco, I am fired up! WIIFM Takeaways You Might Care About As A Safety Leader or Opperations Leader: “It’s about progression not perfection.” - Steve Jordan The social norming through the SmartTagIt tool means people are ‘quicker to the culture’. Extremely important in high turnover and high growth environments. On change agents; ‘you can take a city with a small team of mercenaries but you can’t hold it’ - Jamie Dabbs TDIndustries, Inc. For any change, we must build in the sustainability through a plan and commitment to recognize our progress, to establish responsibilities, expect challenges, and communicate clearly the mission. ‘Show people what you want and you will accerate the ability for them to give you what they want.’ Barry Nelson My hat is off to the entire FactorLab, Inc. team, the ops and safety leaders who participated and the wonderful hosts at Flintco, LLC

We’re in a time of significant disruption, where the challenges we face also present incredible opportunities for the industry to make bold leaps forward. It feels chaotic and uncertain. Yet, in times like these, there are certain leaders who not only see potential for their own growth, but also see it for their organizations and the industry as a whole. They want to not only improve themselves, but are genuinely committed to helping their competitors and their peers, because we all share common ground. The Vision Award recognizes those leaders who are embracing the uncertainty, who don’t just look inward but outward, to leverage the collective wisdom, experience and knowledge to elevate everyone, especially those with fewer resources. Through their dedication, they inspire others to elevate safety and achieve greater success. #Surge2024 #FactorLab #InnovationInSafety #VisionAward

“A safety culture is a culture that allows the boss to hear bad news.” – Sidney Dekker There is no better investment than helping middle managers prepare for and respond well to bad news- especially when they are under pressure. #LeadershipDevelopment #MiddleManagement #CrisisManagement #WorkplaceSafety

#MindfulMonday Proxy metrics: What are they and why should I care? Simply put, a proxy metric is a measure that correlates with an outcome of a given system, even if that measure isn’t explicitly related. Take this statement for example: If You Can Hang From a Bar For This Long, Scientists Say You're Likely to Live a Longer, Healthier Life At first glance, it seems odd that hanging from a bar is going to protect you from all the things that kill people every year. On the other hand, it isn’t so off-base to suggest that if you are doing the things that enable you to hang from a bar for a minute then you will likely live a healthier life. These types of examples are everywhere, and a common one we see is the ability to have an authentic Daily Planning Conversation. Much like the previous example, simply discussing hazards and controls could have a range of outcomes. The real gold is the environment that enables these conversations to happen. After all, it’s not too far off base to suggest that environments where people show care, set expectations appropriately, and truly engage in the activity are those who are likely to come home safe. #ProxyMetrics #SafetyCulture #DailyPlanning #MindfulLeadership
