We are an aerospace manufacturer and have had a tough time finding qualified machinists and engineers through Indeed alone. Plus the cost of posting on Indeed has skyrocketed and resulted in a mountain of unqualified resumes. We were frequently ghosted when trying to engage and set up interviews. We started using @FactoryFix a few months ago, and absolutely love this recruiting tool. When we use the FactoryFix Copilot, our positions are posted on multiple job boards and the platform immediately starts interacting with candidates, sending them screening questions. We are presented with engaged and scored candidates, based on their information and answers to the screener questions. It has been a game changer for us, allowing us to fill our positions much more quickly and at half the cost we were spending on the other source. The candidates seem to be much more responsive and our ghosting rate has dropped significantly I highly recommend @FactoryFix to my fellow Manufacturing HR/Recruiting peeps!!

August Manufacturing Snapshot 📸 In August, the manufacturing industry lost 24,000 jobs, with half of those losses stemming from the motor vehicle and transportation equipment manufacturing sectors. This marks the largest single-month job loss since October 2023, when the UAW Auto Strike temporarily resulted in 35,000 job losses. While a new strike involving 33,000 Boeing workers has recently begun, it’s not included in this report, as the strike started just last week. (The CES strike report did not show any major manufacturing job losses due to strikes in August.) The industry has now contracted for the fifth consecutive month. This slowdown reflects weaker demand, with the ISM reporting declines in new orders and production levels. On a positive note, the Employment Index rose by 2.6 percentage points. Analysts have often pointed to high interest rates as a key factor impacting the sector’s growth.
