We had an absolutely fabulous time with world-renowned photographer Tony Kelly as he discussed his latest book, Miami, capturing the vibrant essence of the Magic City. During an intimate conversation Tony shared insights into his creative process, stories behind his favorite images, and his deep connection to Miami's cultural landscape. We’re so lucky to have Tony as a member of the Faena Family.

This week we were fortunate to have a captivating conversation with Calida Rawles, whose solo exhibition at Pérez Art Museum Miami is making waves in contemporary art. Rawles’ work, known for its hyperrealistic depiction of water, takes this subject into social and historical dimensions. Her latest series explores the history of African Americans’ access to water as a resource for bringing communities together and its healing properties. Rawles shared insights into her artistic process and the profound narratives behind her paintings, she offered her unique perspective on history, culture, and social change.  Organized in collaboration with Spring McManus Art Advisory. We are incredibly grateful to Lhakpa Sherpa for sharing her powerful story with the world and for honoring us with her visit. It was a privilege to screen her Netflix documentary, Mountain Queen : The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa, and engage in an intimate Q&A session with her, along with her daughters and niece, who were all gracious and delightful. Lhakpa’s journey is a profound source of inspiration, reminding us that while everyone faces their own personal mountains, strength of character and unwavering conviction are the most essential tools for the climb. What an exhilarating Saturday morning! Rose members enjoyed an exclusive tour of Jorge M. Pérez’s private collection at El Espacio 23, where they also had the chance to meet with resident artists and discuss their creative processes and work. The expansive 28,000-square-foot space showcases over 150 pieces! The current exhibition, “To Weave The Sky: Textile Abstractions,” celebrates numerous textile-based works from the Pérez collection—many of which have never been publicly exhibited before.
