When I was 8 months pregnant with my second child, I applied and interviewed for my first management position. I’ll be honest—I doubted myself. Would anyone take me seriously? "Even if it's a story that you've told several times, you can take it and adjust it for people. If a story doesn't feel meaningful to us then we tune out. But if we feel like it is directly designed for us, then that's going to make us pay more attention."
