Throwback to Tradition: Celebrating Beloit’s Manufacturing Excellence with the Fairbanks Morse 6 HP Corn Sheller Located in my hometown of Beloit, Wisconsin, the Fairbanks Morse Defense facility has been a beacon of industrial prowess and a cornerstone of American manufacturing since the late 1800s. This historic site has produced some of the most robust and reliable engines known to the agricultural and industrial sectors. Today, at the Virginia State Fair, I spotted a classic—the 6 HP Corn Sheller from the “Z” series, first introduced in 1926. This machine not only symbolizes the ingenuity of early 20th-century engineering but also represents the enduring spirit of Beloit’s manufacturing excellence. Crafted during a time when efficiency and versatility were paramount, the 6 HP Corn Sheller features the pioneering Fairbanks Morse high-tension rotary Type R magneto, a testament to FaibanknMorse’ commitment to innovation in 1926. Reflecting on this legacy, Beloit is proud of its commitment to excellence with ongoing support for the US Navy, including the recently named USS Beloit. This vessel stands as a modern testament to our enduring partnership and technological advancements in support of national defense. As we look back on this remarkable machine, we celebrate not only a rich history of mechanical achievement but also the skilled craftsmen and women who have made Beloit a symbol of manufacturing excellence. Here’s to many more years of innovation and success! #Manufacturing #Engineering #AgriculturalMachinery #BeloitWI #InnovationHistory #USNavy
