I have the honor and privilege to work with states like Washington and Massachusetts as they grapple with true reforms. All too often, incremental progress is seen as existential threat by those whose identities are rooted in adversary. Let’s call this what it is - a massive step in the right direction. Well done, WADOC! Much more to come…Washington State Department of Corrections Massachusetts Department of Correction Falcon Inc. ISG: Integrated Solutions Group #prisonreform

Congratulations MADOC!
Across the country, and indeed around the world, the Massachusetts Department of Correction is seen as a thought-leader and innovator in prison operations. Earlier this year, the Department closed an entire prison, shuttered its disciplinary detention unit altogether, and eliminated the use of Restrictive Housing. Phone calls are now free for incarcerated people. The Behavior Assessment Unit, Secure Adjustment Unit, and the Emerging Adult program at MCI-Concord were recently presented as emerging best practice models at the International Corrections and Prisons Association conference in Antwerp, Belgium. Here we go again, seeing Freedom Reads expanding at MCI-Norfolk. The talent in this agency is undeniable, from Commissioner Mici to the Correctional Officers doing the real work 24/7/365. Keep up the great work! Nelson Alves Kyle Pelletier Rick Raemisch Harmony Goorley David Stephens, Correctional Leaders Association

More great work from Falcon Experts !
In 2019, I came to Yavapai County with Harmony Goorley to support what we knew was a burgeoning model with promise. The premise was to create a space for people whose criminogenic risk was the result of clinical need, and to provide law enforcement with an alternative to incarceration. Public safety was the mission. Today, I saw that vision realized in brick and mortar. An emotional experience, I witnessed people being connected to services that do not just aim to reduce recidivism, but which help people live better lives. Congratulations to Yavapai Justice and Mental Health Coalition and the Sheriff's Office. This is the model for decriminalizing behavioral health crises and setting people up for success.
