Continuing to #highlight our new Board members! Gena Redmon Harris is the wife of Jonathan Harris, mother of three boys, grandmother of two, and has fostered many children in crisis. She is retired from Louisville Metro Government after 27 1/2 years of service, and is currently pastoring the Hope International AOH Church of God and serving as Chair of the LMHA board of Commissioners. Gena is now a proud member of the Family and Children’s place Board of Directors! Her main reason for being on the board is: “This Agency brings hope to the Louisville community by supporting families: a plight I have given my life to for many years, so I am honored to be a part of this incredible work.” Please join us in welcoming Gena to our Board!

Pam's 30-year journey with Family & Children's Place, including 10 years as CEO, has transformed countless lives. As she retires later this year, we thank her for her visionary leadership and dedication to our mission. She will be greatly missed!

#NewBoardMemberSpotlight! Recently, Kelli Limbach, FAHM joined our Board at FCP, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her! Kelli is a seasoned executive with over 30 years in the healthcare industry. In her role at Baptist Health, she leads population health strategy for the organization's employee health plan, which covers more than 33,000 members. A key aspect of this strategy is implementing data-driven, integrated care management programs focused on improving health outcomes and cost-savings. When asked for her "why" for wanting to join our organization, she said: "I became a member of the board of directors for Family and Children’s Place to create a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable families and children. My goal is to ensure they receive the support and resources needed to thrive. I am committed to shaping policies and programs that enhance family well-being and empowerment, with a strong emphasis on keeping children safe and healthy." With Fiscal Year '25 starting, we wanted to take the time to recognize three of our Board members who are rolling off. This week, our VP of Finance Adam Faris received his Best in Finance Award from Louisville Business First! Congrats again, Adam, and thank you for all you do for our agency!

Recently, FCP had an all-staff meeting which featured a #DEI training from our DEI Consultant Michele Shelton! We are so grateful for the work she and her team have done to help us ensure our office is one that is equitable and inclusive for all of our employees and clients. A special thank you to the Louisville Water Tower for hosting us!

We have exciting news to share! Our VP of Finance, Adam Faris was recognized as a Best in Finance by Louisville Business First! He oversees the agency’s finance team, including all operational areas, and works with the CEO and the Board on budgeting and strategic planning measures. Adam has successfully guided our financial management functions, and annual government grant revenue has more than doubled since joining our staff in 2018. In addition to the development of new revenue sources and interagency partnership program directions such as a Head Start/Early Head Start service that began in 2020, FCP has been making strides towards a culture of accountability to funders and general grant-readiness.
