Transforming the lives of families at risk of and experiencing temporary homelessness
About us
Mission: To move families at risk for or experiencing homelessness into sustainable, permanent housing in our community through a continuum of support services. Each year in Wake County, 5,500 individuals experience homelessness, including nearly 4,000 children in Wake County schools who will not have a place to call home at some point during this school year. Family Promise of Wake County is working to bring those numbers down to zero. Since 1993, Family Promise has provided services to 1,500 Wake County families. With the expertise of our full-time staff of social workers, assistance from more than 3,500 volunteers and support from more than 50 partner congregations, we help families regain their independence through shelter, meals, case management and educational services. Family Promise's mission is to transform the lives of children and families experiencing temporary homelessness by helping them find support services and safe, affordable, permanent housing in our community.

Each week, our community partners sign up to provide warm meals every weeknight for the families staying in our emergency shelter. We've seen different groups do this in different ways. Some bring casseroles for our families to reheat. Others provide Dominos gift cards. Others host cookouts on our campus. Whatever you'd like to do, we need groups who can provide meals during the weeks of December 12-21, December 22-28, and December 29-January 4. If you're interested or would like to ask some questions first, email RaShawn, our Program Director at Rashawn.stanley@familypromisetriangle.org.

Employment Secured: ✔️ Job Skills Training Started: ✔️ Keys to Stable Housing: ✔️ Furniture Ordered from Green Chair: ✔️ We are SO PROUD of this single mom who has spend the last year creating a brighter future for herself and her child. While we love seeing people in stable homes, the bigger joy is seeing a family's future changed for generations. That's just what this mother was able to accomplish while in our programs after years of unstable living conditions. Please join us in wishing her the best and support more courageous, hardworking moms like her at https://lnkd.in/eVYNr3st
