Keep The Faith
While out for some routine "honey-doo" chores yesterday, home finally for a quick weekend with my family, I needed to make a stop at a vineyard near our home to pick up some wine from a wine club.
I can't help but keep thinking about the challenges surrounding us all. From the atrocities in Israel, to the concerns in our businesses, to the general health and wellness of friends and families. We are living in a world that makes you stop and take pause.
On a rainy NY day, the 1st home since early September, running around in the midst of trying to balance family, travel, business, health/wellness and support for our families and those now suffering in a war no one saw coming, a 'breath of fresh air' magically happened.
I walked into the tasting room as I do normally to grab my wine, quickly leave and normally head to a retailer to do some store checks, finish my errands and head home. Today was different, it was special and a smile immediately appeared on my face. NO one was there to witness this other than a lucky couple, their photographer friend and the vineyard manager.
The friend said, 'excuse me sir, but my girlfriend is going to be proposed to in a minute, and if you don't mind can you stand over here so I can take the photos for them.' Stunned a bit, I said 'of course.' Then I remembered I saw a young lady dressed beautifully get out of the car next to me.
Low and behold, about 4 minutes later they walk in, hand in hand, and the start playing some music and as magical as you can imagine, he gets down on 1 knee and proposes. I could not help myself. I felt pure happiness for them, admittedly I shed a little tear had to take a photo of this moment. I feel blessed that there are still so many good things in this world, we must keep up hope. I am so lucky to have family, friends, a company I adore and want help create magical moments for young girls everywhere so all their dreams can come true as well.
Keep the faith all and I only hope my granddaughters, my family and I can experience joy such as this down the road.
