What was your family's solution to childcare? If there’s one thing all parents can agree on, it’s that kids aren’t cheap. Extremely high costs often start with childcare, especially in the U.S. Daycare openings are hard to find, and those that are available can cost more than college tuition in most states. When kids age out or free programs are introduced it can have a big impact. It's what two 30-something parents based in Michigan found when they finally stopped paying for childcare, which they recounted in a recent article for Fast Company. Let us know how you dealt with childcare in the comments below, then read two parents' experiences here: https://bit.ly/3ZOfpZL

Whether you love it or hate it, Grindr is a big part of making connections in the LGBT community, whatever you're using it for, and in many ways, it was the model for a whole spate of dating apps that emerged in the 2010. But it also doesn't always deliver what people want from their dating experience. That's why a growing number of apps like Sniffies and Archer are parceling out different aspects of the Grindr experience and building user bases around those. Esp for non-LGBT folks, this story from Henry Chandonnet that I edited will be an enlightening look at the ongoing fight to unseat Grindr as the de facto gay dating app.

I’ve often feared that I may be too negative. But then again, I am human, as I assume all of you are, and the human brain is actually hardwired to prioritize negative experiences as a matter of survival. This week's pressing question explores why our brains are such Debbie Downers and how we can train our brains to not dwell so much on what goes wrong.
How can I be less negative?
