There are a bunch of theories out there, but everything from weather to lack of interest could be to blame. Yet, neither of those are really discussed. After all, how may sagas can you make before your fan base is sagatose? There are smaller films with niche content doing just fine, blockbusters will be blockbusters, but the budget of a film has nothing to do with it, and everything to do with the appetite of the audience.
