FedEx recently awarded two team members the highly regarded Humanitarian Award which represents our appreciation of our heroes, 🦸 those employees who give of themselves in the truest sense by assisting others in need, and / or saving the lives of others, often with great personal sacrifice or sometimes at great personal risk to life and limb. They inspire all of us to be better people. Our second winner, James Hornby, was making a delivery to a customer’s home 🏠 in East Tennessee and the road was closed due to flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. James noticed it was a medical ⚕️ shipment, so he safely parked his truck 🚚 and ran 🏃 more than a half a mile to the customer’s house during a torrential downpour⛈️ . It turns out the package contained life-saving medication. 💊 💉 Thank you James! #teamfedex

They inspire all of us to be better people. Justin White was one of these winners. Justin had just left a service center near Nashville, Tennessee, for his run to Louisville, Kentucky, when he saw flames🔥 🔥 shooting out from underneath an automobile🚗 that had just passed him. He started flashing his high beams on and off to get the driver’s attention. Once the driver pulled over to the shoulder, Justin grabbed a fire extinguisher and ran to put out the flames!🧯 When the fire extinguisher ran out, he ran back and forth to his truck🚚 to grab his water💧 jug and anything else he could find to completely douse the flames. He also called 911 and stayed with the driver until first responders arrived on the scene. Thank you Justin! #teamfedex

Our team got a taste of the vibrant energy and rich culture of New Orleans while visiting FedEx customers who play an important role in delivering iconic traditions like the beloved king cake and beignets to your door. It’s an honor to be a part of our customer's journey, ensuring these sweet traditions reach homes, parties, and celebrations nationwide.

Happy Fat Tuesday! What do New Orleans & FedEx have in common? Great businesses...... Go on the road with FedEx in New Orleans as FedEx courier Mike Nunes shows off some highlights of the Crescent City. You’ll see beignets at Café du Monde, go behind the scenes with the making of a Gambino’s King Cake and you just might learn some French! #teamfedex #mardigras

🎙️ My recent conversation about the FedEx sustainability strategy on the podcast, “Impact with John Shegerian,” is now available across listening platforms. Whether you’re a current FedEx customer wanting to learn more about our approach, or you are just curious to know how a global transportation company with the size and scope of FedEx seeks out opportunities for efficiency gains across the business, I invite you to listen—see platform links in comments—and let me know if the cross-functional efforts of our team inspire new insights for you. We covered a lot of ground in our conversation—from the company’s approach to fleet electrification, to the challenges of the global sustainable aviation fuels market, to the need for durable and verifiable carbon removal techniques like the ones being researched by the Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture. Thanks, John, for the great conversation! https://lnkd.in/eKvN4Rt4
