About us

The Port of Fernandina Beach is a rail-served, mixed-use deepwater port located in Northeast Florida. Operated by Worldwide Terminals Fernandina, it features a short entrance channel only 2.2 miles from open ocean with a 36' MLW channel draft free of overhead obstructions, 200,000 sq ft of onsite storage space, a 1200' pier, and an 850' turning basin ideal for mid-sized maritime transport. The Port's history spans over 400 years and eight flags, throughout which it has gained an excellent reputation for flexibility, efficiency, customer service, and community engagement. A variety of commercial cargo flows through the port annually. Major exports include forest products (including paper, lumber, and Kraft Liner Board), machinery, yachts, and steel products. Imports are containerized commodities such as steel rebar, hardwoods, plastics, frozen and chilled foods, building materials, beverages, consumer goods, and oats. Fernandina's strategic positioning between Jacksonville and Savanna provides for excellent feeder service with the broad international market, in addition to, its current service routes to Bermuda, Norway, the Netherlands, Grenada, and other countries. With great potential for growth and development, the Port of Fernandina looks with its clients to a bright future.
